Me: “Clover, I didn’t appreciate your hoof in the milk bucket this morning.”
Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “I also didn’t appreciate the way you kicked the rope off your hoof, twice, before you stepped in the bucket, or the way you looked at me afterward as if I were an evil troll.”
Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “I need some cooperation here, Clover.”
Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “This is about cheese! Forget the cookies! We’re supposed to be a team!”
Clover: “I. WANT. A. COOKIE.”

Me: “Coco! You’re in charge of these goats! Do something!”
Coco: “Do you want me to eat her cookie?”

COCO!!!
"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

"First it's glowing, then it's snowing! A pause, then screaming squalls and williwaws. Bright but bitter, then a thaw. Yet again it's cold and storming: What ever happened to global warming?"

I took one of my foster dogs and my old Schnauzer to an auction on Saturday (to socialize the foster as he’s a 7 mos. old Collie pup). I had to check out the goats that they were selling (along w/ the llama’s, and sheep). I was trying to figure out which were milkers and which were meat.

The first year must be the hardest getting started with the animals. I’m sure it will get better. Maybe when she has kids the next time milking will also come easier. Blessings.

It look like Coco has had enough of that darn goat. She just looks so put-upon.

I don’t need a cookie, because I made Suzanne’s FABULOUS chocolate cake yesterday and it was sooooo good and I’ll have more today!!! I think her frosting turned out better – I need a tad more work on that, but it was YUMMY, Suzanne. I LOVED it!
