I miss fresh corn on the cob, ours was here in July.  Fresh corn on the cob is my favorite.

Bella, hope you feel better soon, I haven't heard the term hayfever in years.  We were just talking the other day about that, how we never hear of anyone having it.

Thank you Jayne..I am better but still not up to par..I have not heard that term in ages either - my ex sister in law is a Doctor here, and she said my husband had it. LOL So, I decided it's what I have too. LOL Actually, I am sure it's Ragweed allergy - I am sick this time of year, each yr. it seems when the weed count is high. My husband has it and my brother's family…

I get a box of that Willd Alaskan King Salmon at Sam's and grill two for my husband, getting about 3 meals out of the box. 3-4. I am not big on it. We did have my sister in law ship us fresh Salmon and King Crab from Alaska -but she's busy building a new home now…running her business…hate to bug her, with all that going on and more…

CRAB!  I love crab.  Now I wish I had some crab….  I'm frying chicken and fixing mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.  I've got a loaf of my french bread in the oven.  YUM!!!

Except now I wish I had crab, LOL.

I'm just coming over to both ya'lls houses to eat!

I love salmon, any way, shape or form.  And I've been soooo craving fried chicken. Which I can't cook, I just can't.  And we have no good fried chicken places here, they are all chains and very yucky!  I could eat some fried chicken, mashed taters, collards, cornbread.  Oh I'm making myself hungry.

I need to go fix something for dinner.

Tresh, it does sound as if your dough didn't have enough flour in it to maintain its shape.  You put it in the oven right away after the first rise and shaping it into a loaf, right?  I don't let it rise the second time on the baking sheet-I put it straight into the oven and it rises in there as the oven pre-heats, and it should hold its shape.  (In fact, get bigger-but not flatten out!)

yes I did notice you don't let it rise again and I noticed when I took it out of the bowl from rising…it was MAJOR sticky..I had a super hard time getting it to a loaf shape…I will try again.

I called a no cook supper tonight..and sliced some summer sausage, pepperjack cheese and colbyjack cheese. Tossed some Ritz crackers on a plate with some grapes and olives on the side. Just out of curiousity..do you called it supper or dinner?

Growing up in WV, I called it supper.  My husband grew up in the Bridgeport area of WV — and he called it dinner.  After 25 years of living together and all over the US, we've agreed to disagree — and we call it both!

I call it supper and Deb, yours sounds good!  But then I grew up in your area.

Dinner was Sunday or special occasions.
