I'm curious as to what you all eat, because sometimes the “most important” meal of the day, isn't so important! Or traditional!

Today's a rare day for me thought, I'm actually sitting down and eating breakfast before work! I'm having a toasted oat & honey bagel with cream cheese and blackberry jelly.

It's a nice treat on this chilly morning!

Around 10, I'll have an English muffin sandwich with an egg, low fat cheese and two strips of low fat bacon.

I start with coffee.

I drank some heated V8 and ate a pretzel rod.  Usually, I eat a boiled egg with my V8, but failed to bring one with me to work this morning.  I'm thinking about eating my afternoon snack (a Golden Delicious apple) now.

KFC coleslaw. LOL LOL It's just what appealed to me. I gave my husband leftover steak from Sunday and leftover rice. LOL

We USUALLY have a toasted bagel or toast….unless I do breakfast - then, it's biscuits and eggs and sausage…or oatmeal, or corned beef hash, eggs, toast…you know, breakfast! He loves French toast wtih Maple syrup too.

MY DREAM breakfast would be:

biscuits and white cream sausage gravey, or just the white cream gravey (made like fried chicken gravy), and sausage, egg (runny yolk), some grits (and I LOVE cheese grits for a dinner meal)..some decaf coffee - a big ol country breakfast!! THat is my FAV one. I don't have that often.

I do notice that I prefer a bread at breakfast - either hot rolls toasted with butter, under the broiler, or even toast, or a cake type donut - and maybe a breakfast meat…in other words, I prefer BREADY things and NOT sugary things like glazed donuts - I like all that sweet stuff, like cereal, LATER in the day, usually. (Like Muesli with dates, nuts, raisens…)

I love breakfast suppers also, especially pancakes or french toast. I'm just not hungry in the mornings, but I will have a slice of toast or raisin toast during the week and maybe a bowl of multi grain cherrios w/ banana on the weekends. I don't drink coffee or tea but have to have my pepsi first thing in the morning.

I usually do the bowl of cereal thing.  I have to be at work so early, I am not getting up earlier just to eat.  So I bring milk with me and have a bowl at my desk while getting started on the day.

I always prefer to cook breakfast suppers because its a no brainer fast and easy.

IowaDeb….you don't like coffee or tea? ???????  I cannot relate at all!!!!!  I have an I.V. of coffee inserted every morning….I just really like drinking it….I tried to quit the caffeine thing once and all that but found out its more than the kick start….(well..not really! ha) but I just enjoy it…..ok, now I sound like a true addict!!! hahahaa

biscuits and sausage gravy are my ultimate fave…but I don't make it very often…my step son is getting married next June and I MUST lose some weight…I do NOT want to look like a stuffed sausage in a formal dress coming down the aisle!!!  hahaha

This am, I had Suzanne's fabulous homemade chocolate cake/fluffy white frosting for breakfast…Hey, I have PMS…it worked. LOL Then, after lunch, I and my husband, had MORE of it…I just gave him a spoon and told him to eat from a corner and I did the same, on my end…that cake is going fast.

I had a chocolae protein shake this morning.  They are really good.  I just don't usually like to drink them for breakfast because it means I can't have my coffee.  And I'm like Tresh just hook me up to IV filled with coffee.
