Stephanie, please feel free to post any links you like!  The forum is here for you, to share ideas, sites, thoughts, anything that helps!  Sharing is good!  No need to hold back or worry!  I want this to be a place where everyone shares.

Is it possible to get some pics on here after decorations are done?  I love fall and you girls sound like you have great ideas.  And Georgia, its nice to have you here also.  It really is fun to get to know this wonderful bunch.

Yes, you can put pics on the forum.  In the thread called “testing picture posting” under the Living the Country Dream forum there are directions about uploading a photo to a post, sizing, and how to use photobucket (which is really easy!).  So just read that first!

We are currently in the process of moving so I am unable to decorate for fall yet but you can be guaranteed that once October 5th comes around all the decorating juices will be flowing…this is my favorite season of the year!

Even though it was still 93 degrees today, I am anxiously awaiting fall.  So I decided to drag out my little bits of decor and decorate my office, since I spend most of my time here anyway.  I put up my fall garland and little scarcrows, tiny gourd pumpkins and sunflowers.  Looks pretty.  I just may do something at home too.  I still want one of those foddershock thingys though!

Most people try to hard to make arrangments look perfect. Natural is better. Nature doesnt place flowers and greenery in a certain way, they just grow where the seeds fall. And they look great. When I am teaching floral arranging (owned flower shops for 30 years) I always told people to start with the greenery. Whether it is in a vase or a basket or something to hang on a door. The green works as a base to hold anything else you want to put in it. Then the flowers or sticks or feathers or whatever, will stay where you put it. Make some long and some short and some medium. Let it flow, if you are having fun, it will show.  If it is stressing you out it too will show. So just play with it and have some fun.

I love the front door shovel  great idea.  I love to recycle too.  Last year at Dollar Tree they had some being tins for 1.00 that came from Hallmark and were much higher.  Our craft group made christmas floral arrangments in them.  they have pinecones on the outside.

I have a picture of my fall decorating on my blog.  I, for all my techno knowledge, can't seem to get the hang of posting pictures here!

Deb- Loved your blog and loved that song.  I love your house too.  How cozy.  I loved all your movies and bands too.  My friend and I went shopping all day yesterday and to lunch, chinese food.  we went to a place in Garland, texas where they have buit it like a 1900 city.  it is so awesome and unreal.  there is a large AMC theatre that does not fit but the rest is like the downtown of an old old place.  all of the stores face outside and are in buildings that copies of old stores.  we loved it.  there is no mall.  you park and walk.  Most of it is high end and the prices even at the shoe warehouse has gone up.  We went to Macy's to look at Christams and fall stuff - didnt buy anything - too high.  they usually have good sales eventually.  We went to a place called World Market.  they had a few things but not much in the way of fall or Christmas.  And very expensive.  Then we went to Big Lots Discount Store.  they had quite a bit but we didnt find anything we couldnt live without.  Then we went to Hobby Lobby - they had great stuff and ideas but we only bought a few crafting items.  They had all of their fall and christmas s50% off.  I got a fall mug for 2.50 with an old old pickup truck on it filled with applies.  Then we went to Kohls too.  The had a lot of great stuff for fall and Christmas and 50% off.

I thought of Suzanne at Macy's and Hobby Lobby with the chicken and rooster plates and dinnerware.  I thought of Georgia at Macy's and Kohls wit the cowboy christmas tree.  Kohls had their stuff 50% off though.  Really nice cowboy boots and ornaments shaped like texas.   At Hobby Lobby we bought some rustic stars for the tops of some small trees we have.  We also got some rustic bells too.  For 1.00 each.  I bought these trees at Target last year for 2.50.  I got reen, silver, green metalic, gold and red.  they are so fun to decorate.  I got small balls at the dollar store but needed a top for these.  they are about 12″ high.  Family dollar also had the small trees too white and green for 3.00.  I also have the ceramic lighted trees too.  I made them yrs ago at the ceramic store and then I have bought them at garage sales too.

At the flea markets sometimes there are people selling metal cowboys, horses and boots and stars for little.  I made my father in law who lives in canton a cowboy wreath once with them on it.  well enough of that.  I am off ot the dreaded dentist today.  so Deb i sure needed your song today.

Deb, I LOVE your blog pictures!  The picture of the bluff, the river, the bridge, it all makes me homesick!  There was a bridge like that on the road to my grandparents farm.  I so miss it!  Thanks for posting them!
