What is everybody doing today? I am going to be mowing and cutting back some flowers..I just love to work in the yard and wish it would hurry up and dry off so I can get busy out there..Connie

I am at work, and if I don't get to work soon, I'll have plenty of extra time. My plan for this afternoon is to stop by the farm & garden store and get some collard plants. Being a southerner I love collards.
I left husband (retired) the chore of picking up potting soil and getting the buckets ready so all I have to de is plant the little collards. Happy Thursday to all!!

It's off to work(school) for me. We are having some wonderfully unseasonally cool weather, I wish I could stay home! It was only 61 degrees this am! I love it! It usually isn't this cold for another month! This weather will make for great football weather games tonite and tomorrow, which is about all I'll get done after work.
Last night I made some invites for a cardmaking party I'm having in a few weeks. I'll distribute those today. Wanna come? We're going to make a Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas card. Oh and eat, drink and be merry too.
I'm off to read more of the board, It's so pretty out, I may even wear a dress!

WORKING! And of course playing online ;) Gotta take Samson (black lab pup) to the vet. He has a swollen ankle & is favoring it pretty rough. He's the baby so of course first sign of anything wrong he's going to the doctor.

I still have a few minutes before I'm off to work . The eariler I do the shorter the day.I think I'm all done cleaning the flower beds out. I see the leaves are falling for the crab apple trees and the ash tree. It's kinda of neat when they fall off the ash tree cuz they don't stop. Have a good day!

This morning I'm working in the flower beds and gardens. I need to pull up some things, cut back others. Hair appointment this afternoon (my hair is getting so long that I need to braid it to keep it out of my way) and I'm so looking forward to that appointment! I'll work on a quilt this afternoon. Dinner and TV and cross stitching this evening. That's my day today.

I want to quilt!! whine whine whine…But I have to finish aprons first. Work before pleasure. Actually the aprons are fun too. I have several to get in the mail and several to finish up. Also have to wash clothes, feed the chickens and get ready for our San Antonio trip tomorrow. I am so anxious to get out of town for a couple of days, I would leave this very minute if i could. I hope to get to repot some plants that I want to bring inside. It all depends on how mom's doing this afternoon.
We've got a cool front coming our way the next several days and I want to get out and enjoy the fall weather.

I massaged some horses this morning, cleaned some house, worked on loans ( I am a banker that has been blessed with being able to work out of my house! A TRUE BLESSING) will pick up some kids from school at 3:15 and then back to the barn to ride horses….pretty darn good day if you ask me!
YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY! Collard Greens ……YUCK! I use to have to hide those things in my napkin at the dinner table when my mom was going back for seconds…so gross….that and brussel sprouts…oh and cooked turnips…that smell to this day makes me gag.`

Collard Greens, brussel sprouts and turnips ..oh my, not on my list of eats either. I'll add beets to the list also.
Tonights supper was pork tenderloins sandwiches and coleslaw. Now I'm on my way to look at Suzannes pizza again for tomorrow night.

I'm not a beet person, but I love collards and brussel sprouts. I can't eat brussel sprouts tho because of the meds I'm on. They're forbidden!
