The Barnyard Diaries

Me: “Clover, I didn’t appreciate your hoof in the milk bucket this morning.”

Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “I also didn’t appreciate the way you kicked the rope off your hoof, twice, before you stepped in the bucket, or the way you looked at me afterward as if I were an evil troll.”

Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “I need some cooperation here, Clover.”

Clover: “I want a cookie.”

Me: “This is about cheese! Forget the cookies! We’re supposed to be a team!”

Clover: “I. WANT. A. COOKIE.”

Me: “Coco! You’re in charge of these goats! Do something!”

Coco: “Do you want me to eat her cookie?”

COCO!!!

LOL Coco looks like she needs a nap. You know they make day long suckers, they need to make an all day cookies. How about a granola bar? They are chewy.

Coco I’ve missed you! My puppy would want the cookies AND the milk. He nursed for 12 weeks. The other pups in the litter were on their way to their new homes at 8 weeks-4 weeks of having ALL of Mama’s milk to himself has left him with an unnatural obsession with milk!

I cannot believe she is not getting more use to being milked by now! I must say…you must have the patience of Job…I would have been so frustrated at the whole process by now…but…this is why you have a successful blog and I get to enjoy the read!

What is up Miss Clover - out of the ropes and in to the pail? Seems you are now in the goat house - loved your pictures though - you do have a way of making a face to get those cookies. and Coco- what is up here - taking a dip like nothing is going on - too early you say - I am not awake yet-

After that experience - I agree - cookies for everyone or maybe pie on the pie porch

I love that picture of Coco! The muzzle says, ‘Well, duh’ and the eyes say ‘I know I’m supposed to be the lessor of the two, but I’m not’.!

I took one of my foster dogs and my old Schnauzer to an auction on Saturday (to socialize the foster as he’s a 7 mos. old Collie pup). I had to check out the goats that they were selling (along w/ the llama’s, and sheep). I was trying to figure out which were milkers and which were meat.

Becky, Bluebell didn’t do very well on the farm and we had to find a new home for her where she wouldn’t have farm animals to try to eat…. (I miss her! sob.)

    Good Morning,
The first year must be the hardest getting started with the animals. I’m sure it will get better. Maybe when she has kids the next time milking will also come easier. Blessings.

I don’t need a cookie, because I made Suzanne’s FABULOUS chocolate cake yesterday and it was sooooo good and I’ll have more today!!! I think her frosting turned out better - I need a tad more work on that, but it was YUMMY, Suzanne. I LOVED it!

Wow - Coco has been growing like crazy!! I think she’s been sneaking everyone’s cookies. Or drinking Miracle Grow.

Maybe a good dose of benedryl for Clover…make her sleepy. *G*
OR cement galoshes…harder to kick & lift her feet. Good Gracious, I sound like I should be on the Sopranos! Nooo! I’m just teasing,… really.
