52 is always coming up with the weirdest stuff out of his pockets. I finally cajoled him into completely emptying out his pockets for my curious perusal.
Cash, change, debit card, receipts, pens, washer, three pocket knives, mini flashlight, three screws, shotgun shell, ring his dad cut off his hand when he was five after he closed the car door on his finger, fence staple, nail clippers, two state-issued pens, a lockout key, and a plastic snake a friend’s daughter picked up out of the river one day (hi, Maddy!).
What does this say about him? I think it means, among other things, that he’s handy, prepared (he’s a Boy Scout!), sentimental, and playful. Ready to write, illuminate, shoot (okay, it was just a shell he picked up off the ground), put up a fence, get you through a locked door, and give a manicure.
What’s in your pockets, or purse, that’s a little off the wall and what does it say about you?
