Hey Suzanne,.. since you asked hehe..

Is there any way to add a "View first unread" to each thread? Like if I wanted to see all posts in the introduction thread since the last time I viewed it.  Most other forums I visit and work on have this, and it makes navigating threads I frequent a lot so much easier. I don't have to start at the end and look backwards for the last thing I saw.  I wasn't sure if there's a setting to just turn on to have that or if it's even available, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. (Our employee forums at work don't have it and we keep asking them to add it but they still haven't, so I guess it might not be avail on all forums programs. )

Dreams are necessary to life.

Patty, I'm hoping some bugs will be fixed in the upgrade this weekend.  If you're still having trouble after the upgrade, let me know and I'll go ask at the program's forum and see if I can find a better way for you!

I'll post when the upgrade has been completed.

Tonight, whenever I make a post and for a few moments afterwards the smileys and screen flash like lightning.

Leah, I'm on IE right now so I'm going to post (and then edit the post) and see what happens to me!

Though–it's worth adding–IE is a *terrible* browser.  I use IE quite a bit out of laziness because AOL offers up IE, so when I'm in my email, I tend to just lazily use IE.  I have trouble with IE frequently on EVERY website I ever visit.  I'm using IE this morning and not having trouble here, but that's because IE trouble with every website I ever visit is random.  My best advice, always, is to download Firefox, which is a MUCH better browser for every place you go on the web.

I use IE all the time at home and never experience any of the problems you've noticed.  It could be the internet provider.  Providers do alot of "maintenance" type things in the wee hours of the night, when there's not alot of traffic.  They could have been working on their system then which is why you have troubles.

I use IE browser at home and work and have not had problems with it.  We have Fibernet internet service at work and it sometimes causes us problems. Fibernet was down on and off this morning but is back up and running now. We have Firefox browser installed on our computer at home and whenever I have tried to use it I have trouble after being on the internet for a while.  It may be the combination of internet service and browser.  I have suddenlink internet at home and they suggest using IE. My husband uses wirefire internet service for work and they suggest Firefox. You may check to see what browser your internet service suggests.

Sun2  Good day to everyone!

Chef  Sorry to report that the link for Black bean chicken roasted corn stew gets a "No such topic" response.   Off to look for a recipe for lunch now! Cheers!

[edit] it's only listed on the "Community Cookbook' page, not the 'full archive' one, maybe it's not meant to be.

Thank you! I'll try to figure it out and fix it asap! I appreciate the heads up!

(I couldn't find the recipe when I did a search, so I'm not sure if it actually exists?  Not sure where that came from….  If anyone knows, let me know!)

not sure if this is the right place; i posted a recipe under quiche…noticed she had posted several quiche recipes…but now am thinking it should have had its own place;such a good recipe to be buried where no one thinks to look….

which raises another question…is this like a recipe book;one recipe at a time or variations on the same recipe under one thread….

sorry confused i am!

I think it's best to link each recipe separately – simply for the reason you stated…if it doesn't have its own "click link" everything gets buried.  I'll fix it for you!

I think when we started the Just Recipes it was to be "CAKES" and all sorts of cakes listed under it. But now with the way we can look them up now, it is better for each to be in its own topic. Sorry I am useless with this kind of stuff. So why did I post this? Beats me. Sorry

I can move each of your quiche recipes, but am waiting for Suzanne.  They'll have to be moved and then commented on – to bring them up with the new recipes so links can be made.
