He didnt, he isnt feeling well and was snoozing on the couch when I got home so I fixed us a plate of leftovers, meatloaf, glazed carrots, fresh green beans, scallop potatoes. It was just as good as the other day, and not nearly the cleanup.

Leftovers!  I like the day afters better than the day ofs.  The only problem is…I am the only one who has to work today and I'm afraid the men aka, gpa, son and 2 gsons will indiscriminately pillage and plunder the leftovers  before I can!

Reading some of the entries I had a funny thought - if a nutritionist stumbled on this website she'd have a heart attack just thinking about the things we find to eat!

Isn't that the truth. LOL

Although, I am of the belief, it is not what we are eating, but how MUCH we are eating. I say that, because my mother was an EXTREMELY healthy eater, exercised…was thin..but had a family history…

I have know SKINNY people have VERY high cholesterol…or diabetes…everyone assumes FOOD is the cause of illness, when I feel it is OVEREATING or family history or both…just a thought.

BTW, the lady that heads up Wieigh Down - has her Master's in Nutrition and feels the same way. Heredity and too much food - it's an interesting book, that “Weigh Down” book - check it out.

The Weigh Down Diet is a good one.  So is Weight Watchers.  I've done those plus more and I'm still way over weight because of lack of portion control.  You are absolutely right.  I have got to get serious about my weight.  The extra pounds are affecting my hips, feet, everything!  I'm only 5 ft tall and nearly 150 lbs.  Oh gosh, that looks bad to write.  I don't think I've admitted the truth to anyone else - like they couldn't guess!

At any rate, I'm making sour cream turkey enchiladas.   Then I'm freezing the rest of the turkey.

Any good use for leftover dressing or should I just pitch it?

Subway has their footlongs on sale for five bucks. I had the Feastmaster. It has roastbeef, turkey, salami, and pepperoni on it.I had them put it on Italian bread, and added lettuce, tomatoes, greenpeppers, black olives, pepperjack cheese and Ranch dressing. I was hungry so I got Baked Lays, Mello Yellow and a mixed bag of cookies, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip and Macadamia Nut with White Chocolate. (Yes,I shared the cookies and got Amy and Steven a sub too.) Sooo Good!

Thanks Bella - I think I'm better now….Hey EVERYONE - wash, wash, wash your hands - there is nastiness in the air.  (Although I wash my hands and keep wipes in the car - and wipe the grocery carts, etc., and STILL got it!)

Tonight we're having beef vegetable soup (I found some I had frozen a few weeks ago!) and corn muffins.

Okbarb, I did Weight Watchers two weeks or three and lost four pounds. LOL I did it for a friend - she didn't want to go alone…I find counting points is the same thing as calories - they just don't tell ya that. Plus, diets don't help people from LUSTING after food/being greedy about food. I guess that's why I love Weigh Down better. LOL
