Today was brunch, because my husband went in early…so it was corned beef hash (canned), eggs and biscuits. Tonight when he gets in, I give him a couple of bean burritoes and then some homemade yogurt later, with fresh fruit.

I'm about to stick some chicken breasts in the oven to bake then shred later for fajitas tonight!  I'm taking it pretty easy on the cooking today.  Yesterday I made two loaves of Grandmother Bread, two pies, and a big pan of lasagna, and I don't have much motivation to cook anything complicated today.  I'm so excited today because I don't have to drive kids around to sports practices.  Yay for the weekend!  I will be so glad for school to start so that I only have to pick them up from practices, not drive them to them also.  (Practices will be after school, starting Tuesday.)  I am WORN OUT from the past couple of weeks of driving driving driving!!!!!

Otherwise, today I'm going to get my dad to go over some historical stuff about Stringtown, where he remembers this and that like the store and other things being.

And–I got almost a pint of milk from Clover this morning!!!Laughing

Wow! Almost a pint!!! HURRAY..you're getting there - you'll be a milking pro before ya know it!!!!!

YUM, my husband LOVES Fajitas!!!

Today, I made barbecue ribs because that is what DH wanted..then sweet corn on the cob and LeSeur peas (my fav with pepper sprinkled on them and a little butter).

Later, after his meeting, I'll do some storebought apple turnovers.

We are having breakfast for supper tonight. Sauteed asparagus, bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese to be decided, all rolled in a warmed flour tortilla. Fresh fruits on the side.

We went to a fried chicken lunch today - with all the trimmings and cobblers for dessert - and aren't really hungry. Probably won't be hungry till sometime in October!

Congratulations on the almost a pint! Wonderful news!

I was so tired when I got home that I fell fast asleep, so the boy was super nice and decided to cook for us tonight. We had chicken and hashbrowns; it was very tasty!

I'm cheating tonight!  Pizza Hut pizza!  We are picking up our 2 teenage nephews tonight.  So I have to have something to feed them and our teenage son before dropping them at the high school football game!

I just did breakfast, for brunch…will have some chicken/Proscuitto Tortellini later (storebought fresh), with spagetti sauce over it/Parmesan cheese.

How do you know if your Parmesan cheese is authentic - from Italy???? The kind you have to grate? You look at the rind. If it is stamped, it is authentic - if it is not stamped and just cream colored rind, it is just made stateside…not the real deal. I learned that on Giada's cooking show. LOL So, I went to my local grocery store and went to the imported cheese section and sure enough - some were plain, but the expensive, genuine cheese had a stamped rind.

Happy Birthdy Belladonna!  You share the day with my mother!

I don't know what we're having for dinner tonight.  We just got celebration news — so we may go out for dinner.
