Well today is my husband's birthday, so we're having bbq pork ribs in the crockpot. The house smells SO good!  I'm actually going to attempt to make Grandmother bread again too. I made two loaves last week and it was scarfed down though I don't think it baked long enough. I think it would go great with the ribs and sopping up the home made molasses bbq sauce. We didn't have a garden this year and I didn't make it to the farmer's market yesterday morning so no fresh veggies, but steamed frozen veggies are good too.

I'm having my parents over for dinner. Last minute as usual! HA! HA! Burgers on the grill, mac salad, deviled eggs, sliced tomatoes, cole slaw, ice tea; and for desert apple turnovers made with “Mom's apple pie in a jar” that I canned this spring. Got to have vanilla ice cream too.  See I told my hubby I could throw something together!! LOLSmile

Sundays are usually roast chicken around here. We purchase our meats from local farms and have fresh chicken, beef and pork in the freezer. Lately we've been roasting veggies with the chicken, but today we'll change it up a bit and do a traditional stuffed chicken, mashed potates, gravy, steamed carrots and cranberry sauce. I think some Grandmother bread may be on the menu too!

Yum, I wish I were eating at your houses!!!!!

Today, I am just grilling Polka Keilbasa sausage - I eat it like a hot dog, with ketsup, rather than mustard, but I may put both on today. Then, I am grilling Vidalia onions with that. I might do sweet potatoes too - I put brown sugar and butter and cinnamon, in canned ones. LOL Nothing exciting today!

I think for supper, when he is at work..I'll just have something light, like my Avacado, that needs to be eaten or maybe half a toasted bagel, with cream cheese.

Today, I am baking chicken legs (I LIKE legs and not alot of meat LOL), doing bean burritoes with Queso cheese in that and rice,  and made a salad.

I'm cooking up my spaghetti and meatballs today!!!  I have some of my homemade meatballs in the freezer, and some of my sauce, so it'll be a quick dinner today.  I'm running running this week with football and volleyball practices so I'm looking for easy dinners this week!

I am doing Spagetti (Bertolli's) and HOMEMADE meatballs. I am baking them. I prefer EVERYTHING fried (shame on me) but just don't want to mess with that…and the smell/grease..so am baking them right now. I am just doing some fast brown and serve rolls with that and salad.

We are having grilled chicken breasts with honey mustard bbq sauce, corn on the cob and tomatoes, green peppers and cukes sliced with a little ranch dressing.

Stuffed pork chops (cut thick with a pocket in one side to stuff with cornbread stuffing), yellow crookneck squash, sliced in 1/4″ slices and sauted in butter, olive oil, and lots of chopped onion, garlic and black pepper. Saute until it browns and carmelizes on one side, and flip it like a pancake and brown the other side (it’s so sweet cooked that way) and green and yellow wax beans from my garden. The squash and the beans are about the only things that survived my neglect this year.

That’s dinner, but lunch was fresh tomatoes, sweet onions, and mayonaise on Grandma bread. Don’t spoil it by adding bacon and lettuce — just tomatoes, onions, mayo and white bread. And salt. Nothing better than that.

For lunch I'm having some left over Italian from one of the local places here in town, but tonight, I'm thinkin' it's going to be a veggie night.

I think I feel like some roasted beets with sliced fresh tomatoes, and baked sweet potatoes with sage butter and goat cheese. Nom nom.
