Any one have any recipes for a pork roast? I have never cooked a pork roast before.

I have to be silly here…when I saw the topic, my first response was “eat it”. LOL
I have made Pork Roast..just cooking it like Roast..or you can add vegies - carrots, onion, potatoes…you can even to a fruit puree thing…or slice pears and bake with…or serve with pears - pears go well with Pork. Apples do to, I hear…baked apples with Pork…

I rarely will cook a pork roast because no matter what I do to it, it comes out dry. My sister makes the best ever, says she just throws it in the oven, yeah right. So guess I'm not the right person to comment.

Amanda - I will post two recipes for pork roast under the crock pot favorites…
I have put a pork loin roast in a crock pot with 1/4 cup water - cooked it on high for 2 hours - then on low. Total cooking time 6-8 hours.
Put it on a platter and shred with forks.
Add your favorite BBQ sauce - until meat is wet. (You don't want to add too much BBQ sauce.)
Leftovers freeze well.

We often have a pork roast for Sunday dinner. My husband cooks it, so I don't have the “know how”. (He's the one who is good with roasts. I tend to over cook them.) I end up taking care of the left over. I cut it up and sautee it in BBQ sauce or teriyaki sauce and serve it over brown rice.
