Just about every vegetable is my favorite vegetable in the summer, but I'd have to say my favorite is the peaches-and-cream corn they sell at the Farmer's Market in Charleston. It is SO GOOD!!!!

I keep meaning to pick some of that up. That was my grandmother's favorite kind when she would raise corn. Do you recall which vendor had it? I'm planning to make a trip this week again to get some more beets! Nom nom!

How about top three, because I can't pick up one!
1. GREENS. Turnip greens. Mustard Greens. Greens. Greens. Greens. I love them to pieces; throw in a spec of cornbread and mmm nom nom nom.
2. Tomatoes, fresh from the garden.
3. Green Beans.

It was one of the vendors kinda in the middle, on the closest side to the building. I know that's not very specific, LOL. It is so good. I started getting that last year and got totally addicted to it! I coudln't wait for them to get it in again this year!

All veggies(except for those nasty brussel sprouts!) are my favorite! My favorite meal is fresh corn on the cob, thick sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. Forget the meat, bring on the veggies!

I can't name a vegetable I DON'T like (well, except okra) but my favorite of the moment is lima beans. You never find them fresh, unshelled, in the grocery store. You either have to grow them yourself, or find a farmer's market. Fresh is best, frozen will work for me, and even canned limas are okay. I like lima beans alone as a vegetable, or cooked with fresh corn for succotash. That's a combo I even eat for breakfast. Okay, I know I'm a little strange…limas for breakfast. But if they are leftover in the refrigerator they are my first choice.

I love limas too! but I have to tell you a funny story. My brother in law has a huge garden. One of his favorite things to grow is Lima Beans and butter beans. He grows them so well, they are soooo delicious. Every time I go to visit them we always have fresh limas or butter beans.
Every time I would visit them I would get the worst migranes. We always figured it was the country air or something in the air up there. My sister was getting paranoid because the only time I would get migranes is when I went to visit or she came to visit (she always brought me a batch of limas). She thought she was doing me a favor because I just loved them.
Shortly after one of our visits, I had a dr. visit and mentioned the migranes. He was going through the list of triggers, caffiene, at the time no, chocolate, no, red wine, no, and then he said legumes, and I said you mean like peanuts and limas? and he said yes, and I said “YES”. So the mystery was solved.
I still eat my limas and my butter beans, but in moderation! They are too good to give up!
I love all veggies! Haven't found one yet I don't like.

I love all veggies and fruits. When I was pregnant with ds, I couldn't get enough asparagus. I was so sick at my stomach for most of my pregnancy, but I loved asparagus. The funny thing is that ds's favorite color is green.

I love fresh green beans, black-eyed peas, and fried cabbage (not boiled). Corn is good too but I'm not creative enough to really add some umpgh to it.

I have never tasted a leek, it's not a southern veggie. I love almost everthing else, but brussel sprouts and asparagus. As a child we had a very large garden and grew almost all of the food that our large family consumed, but as an adult I realised that we didn't grow anything my daddy didn't like. I never tasted broccoli until I was grown, and I love it. I have 2 grown sons and they only eat potatoes and very few other veggies, and the only tomatoes they eat are in ketsup and sauces. Go figure!

I love all vegetables - the key for me is the way they are prepared. I can't stand okra boiled - and I don't do greens without vinegar. My least favorite of all is a sweet potato. They just gag me! I can eat them in casseroles and pies or made into fries - but please! - so not make me eat a baked or boiled sweet potato straight up! That would be a form of torture for me!
