Well I'm afraid it's coming, the dreaded word Frost here in Idaho. It's coming very soon, the weatherman keeps threatening that the weather will dip down into the 30's. The tomatoes are going really well, the green peppers are almost ready, the gourds are still growing, cukes, summer squash at their peak! Idefinitely never want this weather to end, but all things must come to an end I guess, the trees do look a little worn and lightly tinted with the barest hint of yellow and orange, they are getting readyfor a break. How about your area? I'd love to hear how your early Fall is going!

In Southern Indiana we are having 50sih mornings and low 80's during the days.  This is pretty normal for around here.

This morning at 7, it's almost 77 out.  We're heating up to 92 in Northern Texas today.

I'm so ready for fall temperatures…

I hear you Texas girls…Our low last night was 71.  Will be in the 90s today.  I havent seen frost for so long, doubt I will recognize it  if it ever does get here.  Not till November some time anyway.  How in the world did I get born in Texas??? As much as I love where I am, I sure would like some kind of seasons instead of hot hot hot and not so hot.

Gosh, I wish I could say that there was no frost.  We have had 4 of them…the first in the end of August.  I was spraying the garden at 5am to keep the frost off of my tomatoes.  The one this morning was scrape-able on the windshield.  Very heavy.  I still have some tomatoes out there but they will be all in tomorrow.  Our nighttime temps are 30ish now…saw one morning at 28 already this fall.

Calhoun County WV - it’s 46 at 9:30 on the way up to the high 70’s and a predicted low of 49 tonight. It’s been in the lower 40’s here, but it has yet to dip into the 30’s. No frost.

I moved from Whittier, CA where my son still lives. I moniter the temperature there and compare it to our temperature. Several days ago they had a cold snap and their high and low temperatures were both lower than WV. Lows in the 40’s are unheard of in October in Southern California. Maybe in February, but even then that’s a real low. They are back to normal with highs in the 90’s and lows in the high 50’s tonight. No frost.

LOL here too GeorgiaZ…still warm…we don't have true seasons either, which sucks..it can be FREEZING one week, doors open the next….or a bad ice storm one Christmas, or doors open Christmas Day…it SUCKS.

But, I do have to say…at least if we have snow, it barely covers the ground and lasts maybe a day or two…so I should not complain. I would love to live in an arid climate.

When we go to NY…I am SICK of snow in a week. I enjoy it that one week and then I am sooo thankful to see green grass again!! (or at least no snow). LOL But, I did love it as a child and played in it to death.

It's official. Winter is coming soon. We woke this morning to fields covered with frost; it looked almost like snow. We had to scrape the car windows before we could leave for church. Now our last straggling tomato and pepper plants, and my basil are nothing but limp black leaves. I see fried green tomatoes in my future from the last of the garden until next spring.
