Hi All:

I am working on some more purses, but I went to take pictures of my goats yesterday and they knocked the camera out of my hand and it made a sound like brrooghlaaaaa and now it does not work.  So this is my piggy purse that I have on etsy.

I also redid this chest that I got for $2.00 at an auction a few weeks ago.  Not sure what I'm going to do with it though…

BEFORE!

AFTER!

A couple weeks ago I bought two, 100% wool sweaters from the second had store for 10$ each, I felted them in the washing machine. Then I made mittens out of them, and now I"m addicted to the idea, and can't wait to make more.

I just cut out one (a mitten front and a mitten back) sewed it up, put it on my hand, marked where I needed to make it smaller, and trimmed and sewed, marked trimmed and sewed, until I had it the way

From one of the sweaters I got two adult pairs and two children pairs of mittens. From the second sweater I got one adult and one child pair.

This is my wooden framed message center/calendar display project from Creative Memories I've been working on.  It can hang on the wall with a big wooden knob and ribbon that comes with it or as shown on desk top. It has 4 magnets that hold the different pages created and a ribbon across  and little clothes pins it to hold accents and embelishments. I have 6mos of calendar pages completed for now. I'll post a couple of other pages for you to see. I'm lovin it and its fun to do.Butterfly

I bet those are beautiful pieces~~~!

I finished the angel pillow.  Not sure I'd call it beautiful.  Cute might be a better description.  I was busy taking pictures as I sewed… so if you scroll down to the bottom of this post, you'll see the finished pillow.

Now off to finish the honey bear hot/cold pad.

I'm posting this here because while I made these while scrapbooking, and the two smaller ones used real photos, it's not really papercrafting.  I guess it's a crossover between papercrafting and jewelry.

We used dominos, mini dominos and scrabble tiles to make these three.  The large heart pendant is stamped with two colors of ink and 4 stamps.  I stamped the words in black first, but after I stamped the red hearts it looked like the black words were stamped after.  I hope you enjoy looking at them!

Georgia the pics look much better on her Blog!  I know she has her link posted on here a few times so I don't think she would mind me posting it again.

Jayne- Love the pendants! So you can stamp them or use paper or photos? What do you coat them with?

Vampirebox- Those warmers really look cozy..love the color!

To answer your's and Georgia's questions.  Yes the heart one is stamped.  You have to use Staz on ink.  I stamped the words in black first, and then let it dry.  Then I stamped the red hearts.  But on the actual pendant it looks like I stamped the hearts first.

You can use pictures, but they have to be heat set pictures.  That means not ones you print out, but are developed.  These pictures where shrunk to size then developed.

They are covered with Diamond glaze, or you can use Glossy Accents.

Georgia.  The bale that the pendant hangs on is glued on.  But the small heart hanging from the botton was attached with an eye screw.  The hole for it is drilled with a dremel tool.  If you do alot of them, I recommend getting a diamond bit, you will wear out a bit after about 3 holes otherwise.  The diamond bit was about $10 at Lowe's.

I have so many ideas to do with these.  My friend, Diana, who taught me to do these is uber talented and has some cool ones on her blog too.  http://justdi.typepad.com/just_di/  We had a great time brainstorming together after class.  We inspire each other.

I may try to post directions on my blog in the near future.  I want to ask Di before I do.

Today, I working on two Wonky Star quilt squares for the BushFire Quilt Project that's being co-ordinated by Camp Follower Bags and Quilts

As a brief explanation… she started out asking for anyone willing to send her a couple of quilt blocks.  She thought she might get enough blocks to make three laps quilts.  From what I'm reading on the quilting blogs, the response is overwhelming and blocks will soon be pouring in from all over the world.  A fellow quilter there has co-ordinated the donation of backing, batting and thread and they are getting together a list of local machine quilters to quilt the finished tops.  You can read more about it on her blog.

I'm not the most experienced quilter, but the Wonky Star block seems easy enough for even a beginner quilter, so I'm giving it a go.

Oh and Georgia, I'm working on getting the dolls instructions and pattern put together.  I found a free PDF convertion program… just need to figure out how to make it work. Wave

Just came back to edit my post to add a link to the blocks I completed:

I'm hoping I've remembered right and here are the pictures of the card basket I have.  I remembered, after talking to my sister, that this was made for my dad when he was in the VA hospital in Iowa City when I was in 5th grade, about 1970.  I hope I'm doing this right.

Here are some of the pillowcase dresses I made.  Our charity at work this year is a womens shelter and I donated the dresses for sale, and all the proceeds went to the shelter.

Well this wasn't today, but this weekend I made myself a bag.  I have gotten a lot of nice comments on it when I venture out into the real world!  Though I had a lady at the natural food store say to me that sheep were much nicer than goats and goats were just plain naughty.  It's true, but jeesh!

Thanks for letting me share,

Lisa

Hey all,  I took your advice and made some pillows.  I have a sheep one almost down in honor of the Missus' Cotswolds (before the sheering debacle, shutter~shutter).  Thanks for looking!
