Sounds like what my mom told me the other day about Christmas. I had it at my house last year cause she wasnt feeling well. When I mentioned it, she said, "I thought it was our new tradition to have it at your house." darnit.

I am meeting my dog trainer for a private session in the park this afternoon.  Really need to get Monty greeting dogs nicely instead of lunging at them.  We train with them on nylon longlines and I got a nasty rope burn on my hand because he lunged at another dog last night ….. have to go and get some first aid supplies for it.

I have to go get more wine too

Try cotton leads.  You can get them cheap at Petedge.com.  I use the long ones for Tracking and Herding training.  They don't burn your handls like nylon does.

When we were taking our Golden to training, some folks just wore cotton gloves to protect themselves from nylon burns.  Yeah, a liitle funny looking but it's for your dog.  Then you have a good reason to have some wine!

The cotton ones hold too much water and get too wet.  I usually wear gardenig gloves but got a bit cocky thinking that so far I hadn't gotten a rope burn and so I would be safe…. bad decision.

I didn't get wine.  I really need too.

Tomorrow I'm going to host a pony crazy little girl.   And try to talk her grandma into borrowing my fat little pony for her to ride.  I don't have a rider for "Jedi" and she really needs some exercise.

If it'a not an Arabian it's only a horse.

I don't think I will sleep tonight.  I was just invited to join friends in France in June, where we will rent a farmhouse and vacation for 2 weeks.  I am in heaven.

I  invested in leather lines – the more you use them, the softer they get.  Niiice.  But probably not real practical unless you use them a lot.  Whip

Oh – that vacation sounds fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Organizing paperwork, cleaning, baking an apple pie and getting leaves off my patio – again.  Going to get CP's new phone, pick up ring at jeweler's and feed rabbits.  Laundry, clean sunroom, clean pond at patio, rake leaves, pull weeds and decorate two wreathes.  Practice music for church tomorrow, deliver food to the food bank, pedicure and cook a pot roast.  Whew!  That really is my list for today.  Wanna take any bets?  LoL!

I'm tired from just reading okbarbs post!!! I need to go feed our little dinky donkey ..let the chickens out and give them some corn…visit with hubby when he gets home from work around 8am…clean my desk…work on my present for the swap…make and apple pie….collect some eggs…water plants….etc. That still looks pretty lame compared to okbarbs!!! Oh well…I'm sure I'll find more to do in between all that. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!Fork

We're going on an Artist Studio Tour today…local artists who work out of their homes invite the public in.  There are twenty on the tour…I'm interested in the potters, the hand-weavers, the glass blower (they make the paperweights I love), and the woodcarver (his work is fabulous!).

After that, I plan to come home and wrap Christmas gifts…I have to ship several boxes to family, and I like to get those ready for shipment…to arrive just after Thanksgiving.  I have already received a Christmas box…it arrived before Halloween.  There is just something flat out wrong about that!

I'm thinking dinner out tonight.

Enjoying another day sitting around aimlessly.  Am beginning to go stir crazy here!  I WANT to get out and about.  Drive somewhere!  (Hmmm  This should be over in the "buggin you" thread!)

Hope everyone has a great day.  Shells, how cool!  Visiting some artists homes sound like great fun, bee!  And everyone else sounds so very productive today.  Have fun, and I will rest for everyone…

I cannot believe you trip to France Shelly!  How absolutely fantastic.

Bee – the tour of artist's homes sounds incredible too – all over the Dallas area?

Pete – rest well!

Pie in oven, pot roast in crock pot, decided against going into city – so no new phone today, got ring, went to ranch to feed rabbits, started laundry, going to do dishes and then clean sunroom.  Obviously, putting off the hard stuff!
