Did'nt do too bad. 4 Sea Bass and 14 Mackeral. Was hoping for some Cod,but I think its too early for them, needs to be a little colder when they start migrating from the North Sea.Stilll we met some scuba divers and did a swop for scallops. So I ended up with 2 Bass,6Mackeral and 6 Scallops.Plus it was such a lovely day,I actually got sunburnt.
Now,reference the startling piece of news you inadvertentlly disclosed!! I believe I read somewhere that Suzanne has decided not to write anymore romantic novels.Shame. Think what a crackin first line we could have.
Jeb had taken to hanging around the mailbox.Hoping to see more of Kathy.
Just might have to write it myself. My very first Alleghenny potboiller

Hi everyone, I've been sooo buzy at work the past few weeks, I have been behind on my CIR. I do miss being with everyone. Girlie came by yesterday afternoon for a few minutes, and dropped a small bomb. 1-She does not like the college (she picked it out) 2-She is changing her major (biology to Eastern Europe history) 3-She thinks she will skip next semester to save money (save money–she doesn't know the meaning of save). I am just loving my quite house and as much as I love her, I cringe at the thought of disrupting the peace!! I know that's selfish, but its true!!

I've been cleaning too, scoured the kitchen sink and the bathroom, did dishes, cleaned the litter box, and vaccumed for 1/2 hr! There's not a cat in sight now, hahaha! Now I gotta get showered for wk this eve!!!

Hi Jeannie!! Been wondering what/how you've been up to!!! If you can at all, don't let Girlie take the semester off…….more likely than not, she may never go back!! Is it the classes, roommate(s), or the school itself she doesn't like? She may like her new major quite a bit more…….Maybe if you can work through that with her, she might have a turn around.
Hopefully the new peacefullness in your home can stay!

Our son switched colleges after the first semester. He was attending Texas Tech in Lubbock, and he just didn't care for Lubbock…but he was getting straight A's. We let his switch schools (a better school for his major), but we didn't let him take one semester off. He took classes at a community college the second semester – started at the new college in the fall. He stayed with us while taking classes at the community college – got an apartment that summer. (…the difference is, you don't know when our son is around…he's like a silent ghost…and he is helpful if I give him the eye.) He was also given rules that he had to stick to when he moved back in. Under our roof? We deserve to know when you are coming or going…I don't care if you are an adult. You wash your own clothes and you pick up…and you help out. The coming and going thing is the biggie. Drives me nuts if one is out – doesn't matter that I don't know where they are or what they are doing when they aren't living with me…when they are with me, I know they are out…and I worry. So we got that settled right away. They move back in – they lose some adult privileges…our son didn't have a problem with that…but he was thrilled to get his own place!
I agree with Cindy. Discourage her from taking a semester off. She should stay where she is for next semester – take core classes…and look into getting accepted into another college for next fall…those applications can take some time.

You can tell its monday here, babies are just now down for a nap. And its hard to type with a baby in your arms.
bread rising on the stove, Im hungry and wanting lunch.
Oh Jeannie, I sure hope she can stay put for your sake, but also hers. Laying out a while is always bad news.

I am trying my best to talk with her about taking a semester off, but they have a mind of their own. I don't have a problem with switching majors, she changes her mind like the wind, and changing schools is not a big problem. I want the best for her, if she moves back home, I want her to go back to ballet, it was such a big part of her life and she was so good, I think she would be more settled if she went back to dance.

Update on Charlie: Angiogram procedure went fine. Stents are all open so no problems there. The heart function in this test was 40% – the echo said he was at 31%. Doc says we will call it a 35% and will not proceed with need for defibrillator. Charlie is ecstatic and I'm thankful and relieved. He is resting now so I have a few minutes to be on-line. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!

Yes, Kathy, it is surprising to find out just how tense you are when the dr. gives you good news like today. I felt a thousand pounds come off my shoulders and I felt instant relief. I've been married to this guy for 30 years and want 30 more years. Believe me – we are going to be dedicated to taking care of each other and our health. We really have to be the ones to do it!
Thanks again for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers. You are a super special group of friends.

I have to jump in the shower. Furnace people coming for general maintenance this morning…and…downstairs furnace isn't kicking on. I think we need a new blower…at least…I hope that's all we need… …no heat downstairs…but don't need it yet…will this weekend when it starts raining again.
