Grocery shopping day………Hissy Fit  I should have done it earlier in the week, but just didn't make myself do it, now the stores are probably going to be filled with tourists!  Silver Lake, Pentwater, and Ludington are filled to over capacity with people and the Rothbury Festival is this weekend, too……lots and lots of people!

My BFF is from Ludington and home this weekend!!!  Say Hi to her if you see her! LOL!

I've just enjoyed my breakfast, a piece of cheese toast, pineapple and blueberries.  Blueberries are in season right now here.  So delish! Now I'm finishing my coffee and web surfing.

Going to straighten out the house a bit.  The guys are off taking care of a flat tire on one of the company vans, and delivering a few parts.  I expect them back around noonish.  Till then I'll find some things to do.  Perhaps make some Potato salad for tomorrow and I think chocolate cake.  I'll also need to do laundry and pack for my trip next weekend to North Carolina.

What do you plan?

After I get off work I plan on touching up the paint in my oldest daughters newly painted room.  I bought some painters tape at the Dollar tree, thought I was getting a really good deal but the paint bled right through the tape. Hissy Fit

Great to see you again, Amanda!!

That's the only thing with $ stores……..sometimes you get the most awesome deals, then others, you don't know until you try them!  and I would be kicking and screaming, too, painting a room is the least favorite job to do and to have to redo is just awful!

The really bad part is we painted the walls white with black trim so it is the black that has to be covered up with the white.

Maybe use primer to cover?

I just got back from the farmer's market and the grocery store, and I'm about to finish putting everything away and vacuum.  After that, I'm going to make hot sauce and guacamole and snack on it the rest of the afternoon!

I'm off in a few minutes to the farmer's market.  I was confused as there are now two farmer's markets here in town.  I'd thought they'd moved the one to Wednesday nights, but no, that's a new one.   So my favorite Saturday market is still there.  I'm hoping to get some corn and blueberries almong other things.  It has to be crafted or grown in Escambia County.  I like that!

A quick trip to the grocery is on tap.  I may just hit publix or wm.  Then it's our day to do with what we want.  Probably no fireworks, too crowded with tourists.  That's the bad thing about living in a tourist town.  But we get the beach the other 364 days a year!

We'll just hang in the pool, Kevin is in Orlando, Dan is working (another casualty of the beach/tourism).  So it will be a quiet 4th for us.  I'm sure the neighbors will have fireworks, there's usually plenty around here.

I rearranged yesterday's activities so they didn't do me in…  Today we're off to help our son hang pictures in his apartment.  We'll come home and grill hot dogs…and hang out by the pool.  We have a perfect view of the fireworks from our driveway.  Neighbors gather there, and we all watch together…a quiet relaxing day…I hope!

Fixing salads and flag cheesecake for the family get together tonight.  Bonfire and personal fireworks (sssshhhhh) later!  Our town had the fireworks on Thursday night and there are just way to many tourists at the Lake to think about going out there, so we will enjoy our own…..

Our little gathering last night was great. Only way it could have been better, a little coolness would have been nice. Its fun to watch the traffic jam that goes on afterwards. Looks like at least a few of them would have the common sense to sit around and visit for about 30 minutes and wait for it to let up. Almost had a huge hispanic family fight in the street over it. I kept asking John what they were saying, he just said too many kids here to repeat that!

Happy forth yall! Stay cool and safe!Heart

I'm back from the market with bounty galore!  I picked up regular and cherry tomatoes, green peppers, jalapeno peppers, eggs, muskmelon (cantalope for you southerners) corn on the cob, and some note cards to take as a thank you gift next weekend.

Good crowd at the market, lots of vendors and buyers!

Today is a quiet day.  Our usual Saturday famers' market keeps me busy from 8:00 am until 2:45 or so when we finally take things down and pack up to go home.  We decided not to hold the market today — too many people going out of town, and too many other activities pulling people away.  We did open on Memorial Day weekend and had the lowest turnout so far, so we decided not to fight it and just resume with our Wednesday market.

So…It's just Mike and me, and maybe fireworks in Spencer tonight.  You can park and watch the fireworks as they shoot them off from the hill over the Walmart parking lot.

Well, it looks like we're just going to be hanging out at home today.  I'm going to make some hot dog buns and potato salad.  Hubby will grill some hot dogs and we'll have a feast!  Then later tonight, we'll sit out on the back porch and watch the fireworks they do at Southfork Ranch.  It's nice to be able to watch the show from the back yard!

They are pen and ink of beach water birds done by a local artist.  Just because I can make my own doesn't mean I don't appreciate other's talents too.  The girl I'm giving them too can make her own cards too.  But I think she'll love these Kiss
