I think half of my frustration in cooking is that my husband is so finicky. He eats alot and maintains his weight (he has to - Air Force Reserves)…but, alot of what I like, he doesn't and I am not cooking two meals…or I'll try something new and hear “it's okay..or don't make it again”…and I finally resort back to making the same ol same ol…tried and true bore. I love say cabbage, sourkraut, corned beef, Pastrami…eggplant, grits…onion, on and on - he hates all that…

Gee, that leaves me corn, green beans, green peas, carrots (GROSE to ME), potatoes, chicken, hamburger, spagetti, meat loaf (”it's okay”)…ham. BORING. LOL

That's just about how it is, too!!!

Georgia! You have a picture!  WOOHOOO!

The collards I made today were melt in your mouth delicious! Slimy?? I’ve never had slimy collards.  Okra is slimy and I don’t touch that!

Hubby and baby son said the squash/zuchini were the best they’d ever had.

Yes, I am bonifide now. Finally had to get my son to make it small enough to fit. Will I ever learn all this computer stuff?
I just wanna have fun!

GeorgiaZ, fried okra is not slimy. (smile)..I like it slimy or fried. LOL LOL

I thought I would get creative today and make a NEW dish for my husband…I made skillet meatloaf and even grated a potatoe in there, because he loves them..I envisioned this wonderful masterpiece. His comment after we had it? “That's okay…mistakes happen”..something to that effect. It was NOT wonderful. LOL LOL

Mine will say stuff like that right after he has had his third helping.  I'm like…”it was certainly good enough for you!”

But yeah, I often think up stuff that really sounds good in my head, but in the end, I am never really sure what happened there.

And yup, I do love a good fried okra, just cant suck down that slimy boiled stuff. I am gagging just at the thought…
