Avatars are so much fun!  You go to the your Profile (near the top, next to Contact, Logout, etc) and click there where you upload your file.  You need to do an image resize in whatever photo program you use to make it small enough.

Files accepted: GIF, PNG, JPG and JPEG
Maximum size accepted: 50 x 50 pixels

And then you can always change it out when the mood strikes!

When you reply to topic..like this…there is a picture of a tree at the top of the box you are typing in…click it on and a box will appear,,paste your direct link in the image UrL.. and click the button in lower left that says insert.

When you upload your photo to Photobucket it will tell you what size your photo is in pixels. You may have to click on resize in photobucket,   it will auto load it to be resized and above photo will have the oringinal pixel size like 640x 448 you just click up there and backspace to clear and enter new size like 500 x 375 pixels or 375 x 500, which seems best for this forum and then hit copy or replace original and then copy link.

Our input in this dialog box is actually being translated into HTML code by a text editor. We don’t see the code in our own answer, but if you look at the quoted part, you will see the code that was added to the original post.

When I hit the icon to ‘Quote and Reply’ to this post I got a top bar with buttons for b (bold) i (italic) link (when you click on an underlined word, usually in a different color, you are taken to another place identified in the code - the URL of the other site) ul (unordered list) o1 (start and define the characteristics of a list) li (a line item in the list) code (show the HTML coding behind the text editer) and Close Tags (HTML tags tell the program how to interpret and display your input. When you enter a tag to affect the characteristics of your input, you must close the tag).

What I don’t find is anything that looks like a tree. When I am entering a ‘Reply to Post’ instead of ‘Quote and Reply’ I have a perfectly empty dialog box where I enter my reply. No tree. I want a tree!

This is a test. This is only a test.

  1. I’m using the b - i - ol - li buttons above the dialog box to create a message which is partially bold, partially italic, and contains a list.
  2. There is no tree.
  3. I want a tree.

I have a TREE! Thank you so much! Who knew that checking that box on the profile page would cut down my tree. I'm just so glad you found it for me.

Now that I have the picture posting thing licked, could you tell me how to link to a page or item in the blog website? When we read the blog Suzanne can somehow give us a click-able link that takes us to another part of the blog.  How can I do that?? And can we link to an external website, say our own blog?

That's the html code.  Not at all sure why it's not turning into a clickable link right there.  Maybe I'm too tired, LOL.
