Yall are not going to believe this…

Yesterday, I got a call from my sister and my DADDY was being rushed in an ambulance to the hospital.

Can you believe this?

Daddy was feeling dizzy and was heading to the restroom and he got sick and passed out.  They called the ambulance and TEN emts came.  They took him to the hospital and they've been doing all sorts of tests….heart, brain and vein.  So far everything is coming back alright.  Isn't this unbelievable?

I was beginning to suspect carbon monoxide and had the fire department come by but everything checked out alright.  They are suspecting a new medicine he had begun the night before for his bladder.

I tell you what.  This has been one crazy week.  Mama and Daddy will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversay tomorrow…

Good grief!  Let us know how he is doing!

Something to keep in mind – is dehydration.  It happens easily…even to us…and it happens quickly in older people.

I hope things settle down for you soon…and that your parents have a wonderful anniversary!

Poor Mama and Daddy!  Probably worrying about your Mama didn't help either.

Hope things settle down and get back to normal.

Both parents to worry about is just about too much!!!

Daddy called and they were both heading home.   Thank you Lord!

Tomorrow is their wedding anniversary…they've been together since 1950.  Just babes at the age of 19.  They didn't own a car and had a friend drive them up to the north Georgia mountains where they were the only guests at an inn.  I hope they're able to do something special.

The most special thing will be the opportunity to just sit and enjoy each other's company after all the years together, I'm sure.  Oh, to have that kind of enduring love for each other.

Add our good wishes to the list, Dana!  Yes, remembering our Moms and Dads is something which seems to last a lifetime.  Precious memories, whether it is Mom or Dad, or our grandparents, or that special aunt.

There is absolutely nothing which takes the place of spending as much time as possible with them.  I was lucky enough to be able to do that with both my Mom and Dad.  They are both gone now, but I know that we did as much as possible together, something which certainly doesn't take away the grief of their loss, but eases it in unbelievable ways.

Prayers for you, Dana, and all in this community who are grieving, worrying, taking care of aging loved ones, and looking for ways to make it through the tough times as well as possible.

Anulos qui animum ostendunt omnes gestemus!
