Suzanne, do you have a P.O. Box we can send checks to you, for donations? For those that don't want to do it online? I remember you posted one, once, to send envelopes for your books.

Thanks, Belladonna! I hadn't posted it online before, just sent in emails to the winners. My address is P.O. Box 97, Walton, WV, 25286. I do appreciate any help possible with hosting expenses!

Thank you for posting a P.O. Box address. We had an experience this evening with ebay and I don't know that I will ever buy from them or use credit card to shop online again. Which is a problem since I do a lot of that. Much easier and less time consuming. I think I will now go start a new thread to ask if anyone has had this happen to them.

Thank you Suzanne!! I do shop online..but now, I am trying to limit that, to certain places. Just because of stories I have heard AND we did have someone steal our credit card once and purchase things - they got it online somehow and thankfully, it was NOT a big problem to resolve, but with stories you hear now..ect. I just don't like to as much.
I wonder if you can tack this to the top post - I know you can do that on some blogs. That way, it is readily available to others to see, when they need it and won't get lost in the shuffle of other topics. I think it's important!
I sent you one today…just so you can be on the lookout.

Suzanne, Have you ever considered a paypal account? You can set one up and recieve donations through it. A friend of mine (also an author) had one set up to sell her book, but people could also make donations to her ministry. She was elderly and this was a very convenient way for her to have monies deposited right into her bank account.

Yes, I do have one, thanks! I have a “donate” button in my sidebar and below each post that goes to this page:

I clicked on the new donate button, and was pleased to see you have a selection of ways we can donate, including a one-time PayPal donation, a PayPal subscription, or an Amazon Honor Program.
I'd really like to subscribe to your blog, and make a monthly donation as automatic as possible. But $5 per month doesn't come close to what your blog is worth to me. Could you set it up so there are different levels of subscriptions? Or a choice of dollar amounts per month instead of a fixed $5?
I also appreciate the fact that you shared your mailing address with us. It makes it possible to show our appreciation and help with the cost of keeping your blog site up and running without involving payment through the internet.

I completely agree on the amount. I would've loved to choose another amount.

Paypal is just weird about that. When you try to set up a subscription, it insists you choose an amount rather than leave it blank for people to choose for themselves. I'm not sure why it's that way. I think what I can do is set up a couple of different subscription options, but I'll still have to designate an amount for each because Paypal will insist, but at least it will make choices that way. Thank you for asking about it!

If they won't let you have more than one option within the same subscription maybe you could set up several different subscriptions and call them 'PayPal $5' - 'PayPal $10' - 'PayPal $25' - 'PayPal $100' - etc. Maybe you should even include a PayPal $1,000 for your independantly wealthy readers (hey, it never hurts to dream).
