After a long, tedious, yet productive day in the office (Medicaid is responsible for the death of many forests!), I went to dance class.  It was a bit longer than usual because we're semi-rehearsing for a public recital.

I came home drenched with sweat, practicing choreography in my head while listenting to the music to which we'll dance, and feeling GREAT!

Does anyone else take a dance class?

Whew!   Shimmy

You wouldn't believe the lectures I get from people about the evil nature of belly dance from people who know nothing of the history!

I took belly dancing classes some yrs ago. I've also had country line dancing lessons. Dont remember everything, but I can still pull off the Electric Slide. I danced at my son's wedding (half the night)this spring. These days I dance with my grandbaby, she's dancing around all the time!Laugh

I took belly dancing classes years ago after my DD was born. It was fun and great exercise. I can still remember my Mom laughing so hard that tears ran down her face as I tried to show her the camel walk.LOL

I have dear friends thats take belly dancing classes, and one friend that does it professionally with a group. So kudos to you, lady! :D

If I could find anyone near Charleston teaching, I'd definitely looking into taking them myself. I have DVDs and I've learned a little on my own, but it just doesn't feel the same as having a group to laugh with as you learn.
