I found this on a blog and loved it! another dimension to grilled cheese!

Gioni's Gourmet Grilled Cheese

Yield: the egg mixture made 4 big sandwiches (used grandmother bread)

8 Bread slices, any kind

3 eggs

¼ cup of milk

Salt & pepper (optional)

Bread Crumbs (flavored or not, your choice – I used Italian)

Cheese of your choice, sliced or shredded

Whisk together eggs, milk, seasonings.

Put cheese between bread (just like normal grilled cheese), dip into egg mixture, then bread crumbs.

Fry in a skillet with a thin layer of hot oil.
