This is the recipe for Chicken and Dumplings I found online somewhere.  My Mom would spend all day stewing a chicken, pulling the meat off the bones, mixing the flour, milk and stock til it was just right etc… *I* can NOT make it like Mom. It's something I came to terms with years ago lol. So when I saw a review of this recipe that said it tasted like their Mom's, I had to try it, and WOW, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a lot closer to home made taste than I figured you could get in a Crock pot. IMO (In My Opinion)

• 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
• 1 onion, finely diced (optional, I don't use them cause Mom didn't)
• 2 cans biscuit dough, torn into pieces

Put the chicken in the crock pot and dump the soups on top with the butter and onions (if using). Add enough water (or chicken stock) to cover and cook on HIGH for 5-6 hours. But 30 minutes before ready to serve, add the torn up biscuit dough pieces. Just check a dumpling before serving to make sure they cooked all the way through.

This can be modified as you like. You could do a can of cream of celery or broccoli  instead of two chicken, add peas and carrots, etc. Have fun with it.
