4 1/2 c oats

1 c allpurpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 c butter

2/3 c light corn syrup

1/3 c packed brown sugar

2 c chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease 9×13 in. pan. In large mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients except chocolate chips. Then, stir in chocolate chips. Press into pan and bake 18-22 mins. Let cool 10 mins. then cut into bars. NOTE: If mixture seems to crumbly add a little honey or more corn syrup. Variations: butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, rasins, or dried cranberries. Or any other variations you would like. (I think I would like to add coconut to original recipe.) Also I am going to wrap mine individually in Saran Wrap.
