I got this recipe from allrecipes.com last year during blueberry season. We loved it! I can't wait to try it this year with Suzanne's Homemade Yellow Cake Mix!
Blueberry Dump Cake
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix (or use Suzanne's recipe http://suzannemcminn.com/blog/…..;cake-mix/
4 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Mix berries, sugar, and cinnamon in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover berries with dry cake mix. Slice butter over cake mix, 2 sticks should cover the entire pan, do not stir.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until light brown. Serve warm or cold. Top with ice cream.

Wow! How can anything that calls for sugar and a cup of butter be anything but wonderful!

Jeannie, if you still have frozen blueberries, this could take care care of about 4 cups of them! Be right over, to help you – you know, with that old quality control thing…
Now, if I only had some blueberries. I have some peaches, wonder if they would work. Hmmm…

This looks very much like a recipe on a peach can from years ago. I just don't remember whether the juice was dumped in that one or not. Seems like it was, but otherwise the same or very similar.

I was surprised with another 30# of cherries today………ONLY I didn't have to pick them and they are ALREADY PITTED!!
So I'm making a Cherry Dump Cake using Suzanne's homemade yellow cake mix (it's actually white). It's in the oven now………….Cherry Dump Cake and vanilla ice-cream for dessert

I will make one Sat and let you know how it comes out. I have never been much of a baker, when the boys were little, they thought every cake meant it was their birthday. The last few weeks I tried pound cake, and they turned out great. I baked them in loaf pans, kept one and took the other to work. It went over wery well, I like the lemon better, but I am going to get some coco and try chocolate. Can't go wrong with butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate !!!

I learned a lesson making this cake. Make sure that the butter covers the whole top otherwise you have spots of dry, baked flour.
