Welcome to Four Acre Farm!  I am Birdi and am in Western mountains of Maine.  Country crafts and canning are my specialty.  I also love weddings, the favors, the gowns and do custom seamstressing-sequins and all.  Pull up a chair, have a cup of coffee and look around a bit.  If you don't see a particular color, I can probably accomodate you. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me. Shipping can be pricey, but I will search for the most economical way to get it to you.

Have a great day and come back often.Wave

These are diverse little wooden boxes made from wood sawed right here on the farm by my hubby.  They can be used as a box for carrying things, turned on its side as a shelf and they will also hold a dozen of canning jars filled with something yummy.

Dimensions are 15″x11″x 6″.  They come in a variety of colors.  The cost of these boxes, slated and with dividers is $17.  Shipping for the 48 states is 9.50.

And boxes with solid sides and dividers are $18.(like the red one)

And unfinished boxes are $12 solid or slated.  Here is an example of one that is solid with no divider.

This is what we currently have in stock at the moment.  Custom orders can be placed.  Please pm me with any questions or requests.

This box is designed to handle a dozen pint sized canning jars.  It is strong enough to hold them filled and makes it much easier to carry from one place to another…like a cellar shelf or to the pantry.  These are stackable and stable.  (I have mine 6 high.)  The tops of the jars are recessed about a 1/2″ so that the box is not resting on the jar.   These are perfect for any home processor and I would never be without them.  They are also availabe to accomodate quart jars as well.  The cost is $10 each.

These are unfinished, slated and have handles for easy carrying.

A wonderful asset to any farm kitchen and we are currently filling orders for these.  Let me know if you have any questions.

  Working apron

I have sold this one, but I have the materials and can make more.

This is a utility apron designed for those who are trying to do 5 things at one time.  It has lots of deep pockets… 4- 7inch pockets and 4 in front of them that are 6 inch.  From top hem to bottom hem it is 24 inches long.  Around the hips it is 31″ wide with 25″ canvas apron strings.  It also has a 6″ loop on the right side for hanging any number of things.— a spray bottle of cleaner, a hammer or anything with a hook that you just need to take with you.  It is made of a heavier material, like denim and is very functional.  The cost is $15.00.

I live in mine.  Right now, I have one loaded for gardening.  It has my seeds, pruners, bug spray when I need it and anything that I may need out on the farm.

Old-fashioned doll – front….

….. and back views.

She is 17″ inches and is made from only fabric.  She has been joined together by hand and needle sculpted.  Her body is not stuffed with poly fill.  Her limbs are crafted using an amish style that rolls layers of cloth to form.  Hands and feet are joined after.  Her body is stuffed with scraps of trim material leftovers from projects sewn and are all clean.  She is soft and durable with no snaps, buttons, hooks or zippers.  She has a very plain face in old-fashioned style.  I did not worry about giving the first one of these to my granddaughter, there was nothing to hurt her.  Add this all natural doll to your collection or give her to a loved one.  The cost is $20.

These are lighted potpourri jars.  They come in a wide variety of scents and colors.  They are all in canning jars… some are old-fashioned jars type with the bale.  They have a 20 light set in them to give them just the right warmth for fragrance without any fire hazard.  They can be left on for many hours, fill the house with fragrance and suble light.  A nice alternative to candles with the same effect.

I adorn the inside of the jars with little surprises as well.  For instance, I put real seashells in and position a light behind to show it off.  I did one once for a lady who sent me her baby treasures…. diaper pins, a little rattle and a tiny little shoe.  A keepsake was created for her.

They also make great wedding decorations and can be given away at the reception.  I can create in quantity and design the right theme for you.

The cost of these lighted jars is $10.00 each.
