Have I Mentioned He’s Bad-Tempered?

Every time I take my slippers off, Buttercup sits down on them. EVERY TIME. He stalks my slippers, just waiting for them to be alone. It’s creepy. And I want my slippers back!

Why is that I wonder ? Cats do seem to love shoes. I usually have to look for one of mine on my way out the door!

He’s keeping them warm for you, mom! Maybe it makes him feel important ;) He has such a personality in that face!

Buttercup does look a little possessive there. He’s not at all ready to give it back.

My dog has the affinity for my slippers. He would love to chew them up, so I have to put them away while I’m at work, or I’ll come home to half eaten slippers.

We all have our idiosycrasies :)
“I need them more than you do”, he says.

I have to warm a blanket in the dryer every morning for my chihuahua (Courage) to lay on. He jumps on it before I can put it down. How spoiled is that! Its worth it, animals are soooo cute! :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

My aunt’s cat, Dude (and yes thats the cat’s name), has a foot/shoe fetish. If you take your shoes off he will lay and waller (sp) on them until you pry them away from him. Careful when you do that, he bites! Also, if he can’t get to the shoes, he’ll snuggle with your feet. :snuggle:

I think that’s cute. Buttercup has his/her own position in the farm work – to keep your slippers warm for you. At least he doesn’t bury them outside; they must not smell very much. Now, if they were mine…

cherylinsunnycal got it on the dot….He is trying to keep his own butt and feet warm, on that wood floor.

Yep, they’re warm and smell like you. What’s not to love? Sit on Mommy’s slippers, keep tush warm. Win-win! :dancingmonster:

I think what he’s really trying to say is, “These are ACTUALLY mine, and I only let YOU borrow them.” Lol! :pawprint:

We have a 17-year-old cat that has developed fetishes for various items all her life. At the moment it’s my Crocs, which I wear to take the dogs out and leave by the door the rest of the time. Unless I remember to put them up out of her reach at night, she grabs them and drags them around while yowling at the top of her lungs, usually between 2 & 4 a.m. Who knows what’s in their little brains…

Sounds familiar my cat leaves presents in my shoes hair ties, garbage ties, bottle tops who knows where he finds them

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

"Lamb-y, then whammy! Get some tickets to Miami! Snow is easing, but we're still freezing. It may be spring by the astronomer, but not by the thermometer. Mighty fine, then leonine."
