You’re thinking about your Lover Boy, aren’t you, Clover? Your intended, your paramour, the light of your life and the candy sprinkle on your cookie! You can’t wait for him to arrive on the farm. You can’t wait to get MARRIED!!! Here, try on this veil.

Clover: “What Lover Boy?”

Lover Boy! Your candy sprinkle! Imagine–the wedding dress, the bouquet, the dancing. The hens will be your bridesmaids. The sheep will form a choir. Nutmeg will be the flower girl and Pepsi will carry the ring. Pocahontas will sweep you down the aisle on her back and Coco will give you away. The cats will throw birdseed and Jack will officiate as you promise to love, honor, obey–

Clover: “Obey? Did you say obey?”
IMG_8077
No. No, of course not–

Clover: “There’s not going to be a wedding. And for the record, I AM THE CANDY SPRINKLE ON MY OWN COOKIE.”

Clover– Stop eating the veil!!!

Clover: “I’m hungry, Woman. WHERE’S THE DRESS?”

You go Clover. Every female should be the candy sprinkles on her own cookie!
Lover boy, while he may just be a woderful thing, will forget you after the three day honeymoon.
But you do look fetching in that veil.

Definitely keep your own bank account Clover, and go ahead and eat the dress after the wedding. You won’t be able to wear it later.

Ahhh, Clover – the modern woman! If she eats the dress it will be an interesting slant on the current “burn the dress” trend!

I think a shotgun wedding may be appropriate. . . Or a trip to Vegas to elope . . . Just make the flowers edible
Does this mean it is official? Clover is finally getting a man??

The Island, the sunny sand bar, the elopement…..all wonderful but all he really is going to want is a roll in the hay.

ditto on keeping your own bank acount. also a vehicle in your own name….that’s what I’ve done.

I’m pretty sure that legally, when Clover marries, all cookies will have to be shared equally with her husband. Not going to work. I wouldnt bring him to the farm without a life insurance policy……. :bugeyed:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
