George?

Ross and his girlfriend brought this home on July Fourth. I think I should keep him and name him George Washington. You?

George works. I am glad you decided to name him instead of just giving out numbers.

LOL! What’s that now, 10? You do have the room for him and how can you say no? He’s cute. Maybe some cats should be strictly outdoor barn cats?

He does look like a “George”. I think he’s cute!

George is good. He is cute. Is he going to be an out door cat or indoor. Or go inbetween??

I think that George is a very lucky cat. Thank you for making a difference in one more cat’s life! If only there were more people who could make room for just one more or just spay/neuter one stray. What a difference this would make!

Love that face. How could you not keep him?
And George is a perfect name.

Here’s a new moniker for Suzanne: “Pet Magnet”.

No mice on that farm. A blacksnake would starve to death!

Of course, once you factor in: vet check, shots, deworming & flea and tick control your free kitty will run you at least $100 ~ a YEAR!

Not to say you shouldn’t keep him ~ just a reminder, to EVERYone, that those adorable free kittens come with costly responsibilities. If you can afford it, bless your heart for taking on another soul! There’s no doubt it will reward you MANY times over….

Hopefully all those cats have been neutered, otherwise you will soon be known as a hoarder.

Well, just don’t tell my one hen that you named a C-A-T the same thing as her!!! Of course, she was named after Curious George the monkey, because she cannot bear to be left out of anything and has to stick her nose, errr, I mean beak, in anything that anyone is doing. Yes, I know… sounds very cute and amusing. Thing is, it’s also a little annoying at times too! :chicken: :chicken:

You still need a horse and a llama….chuckle! George is certainly cute, but I’m surprised you didn’t name him Fourth, or Firecracker.

You rock, Suzanne!!! I see children’s books and a petting zoo in your future.

This is my husband’s biggest feaer of having lots of land in the country (although he wants it as badly as I do), I would be a dog magnet. You rock, Suzanne!

‘What’s one more’ is the reason I had 11 cats and 4 dogs.

I like it. I just had someone as me if I wanted a cat (happens all the time) but I have 6 and don’t live on a farm so I usually only take in the ones that end up on my back porch – it’s all over once you see them lol.

Been there recently did that! My Daughter found a black kitten a few weeks ago and she is now living with us, making the total number of inside cats we have-eight. *G* Not counting all the strays we feed outside. George sounds like a lovely name for such a cute kitty.

Oh he’s cute!! George is a good name for him – we had a cat named George. Of course, you have to keep him – “found” animals make the best pets.

Ha, my first thought was Hitler not George. lol

I don’t know how you do it with that many cats. My brother’s two cats are visiting. The two of them plus my one is almost overwhelming. Why do they always have to be ON me?

Of course you’ll need a cat named Martha to keep George company, but what’s one more. Heck, get two more and have an even dozen. Aren’t they “Cheaper by the Dozen” ??
    :moo:
Wait … did I just hear a cow outside your door?

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
