I understand the hair. When my son was about that age he was growing out bangs and would often braid them or put beads in them.
I just learned to keep my mouth shut…and walk behind him.

when I was growing my bangs out I wore a lot of headbands. If she wears them (I know teenagers can be picky) I can make her some to get her through the summer. I feel for her-bangs just don’t grow out fast enough! LOL! I have tons of fabric lots of colors to choose from.

Morgan the braids and bows are great. lol. I have a daughter and she will be creative with hair or clothing. Must be a girl teen thing. Take lots of pictures of your nice stright teeth without the braces. I know you are excited.

Hi, This is my first comment on Chickens in the Road. Your blog has become my favorite blog of all times. Love the photos, recipes, and animal stories. We have had a lot of pets over the years but have never had any that were “normal”. From Dwarf goats to kitty cats. They have all had major personality quirks like yours. We also live along a dirt road and suffer through mud and snow like you do. I so enjoy reading your posts. I enjoyed the pic of Morgan and hope you all have a great visit with the orthodontist today.

My “14″ still has at least 10 months to go in braces. I will be so glad to not see him swish his beverages in his mouth after he eats and/or he can then keep his fingers from digging in his braces. I’m sure you can relate Morgan! Celebrate!!!

I will never forget the first day without braces. Everyone thought I was wierd because my teeth were so smooth that I kept running my tongue over them. It just felt wierd!! Yeah, Morgan!!!! Now you will have a beautiful smile for a beautiful girl!

I would love a copy of your book. We are recovering from a winter storm that knocked out power and had us living pretty primitively until about ten minutes ago. Last night, I was dying for something new to read while sitting in the dark with candles and nothing else to do. Since tornado season is right around the corner, and we are surrounded by trees, another power outage is pretty much a guarantee. I would really like to have a book to read next time I am lighting with candles and lanterns…

Morgan will look so beautiful and grownup when she gets her braces off. When my grandson got his braces off, the orthodontist gave him a bag full of all the candy he had been told not to eat — carmels, bubble gum, chewy stuff. I’m not sure about the wisdom of that, but it was a big day for him and I’m sure it will be for Morgan. I would love to have a book. Thanks so much.
