Postcard from Clover

Via Destiny Groves Farm goat resort:

clover23
Dearest Woman,

Please come get me. I am tired of That Cowboy snorting and sniffing me. I can’t get any peace. I am also tired of sharing my cookies. I almost miss you and I might discuss milking again.

Love,
Your Clover

Sent in reply:

Dearest Clover,

Does this mean you have reconsidered your list of demands? If so, I will think about coming to get you sometime when I am not too busy. I almost miss you, too, and I might consider milking you.

Love,
That Woman

P.S. I have pound cake. I hope it’s not all gone before you get here.

Suzanne, after a weekend of car trouble, I woke up this morning feeling depressed. You and Clover cured that and put a smile on my face,as usual.
    Thank you.

That’s the ticket! Show her who is boss. Eat that pound cake. The sugar rush will give you the edge you need to win the udder war. You can do it! I know you can! Then she can have a cookie.

Does Clover know you brought home some sheep? That might bring her off her “high goat”!!! I’ve almost missed Clover, too, but Annabelle makes up for it.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
