In Search of Mama

Mar
5

Honey is such a shy, quiet, demure little wether, overpowered by bossy Clover and primadonna Nutmeg.

He’s not as loud as Nutmeg, but he misses mama, too.

Honey: “Are you a goat?”
img_30495
“Do you want to be my new mother?”
img_30412
“Do you like to butt heads, mommy?”
img_30358
Can I kiss you?
img_30454
“Can I eat your horn?”
img_30433
“I love you SO MUCH, MOMMY!”
img_30371
“I LOVE YOU ALL OVER!”

Miss Jacob: “Make it stop.”

The March newsletter went out yesterday. Did you miss it? Be sure to sign up for the next one!

    Dear Princess,
Please do not lie in bed and throw darts over your head. I know I am being bossy, but that is just the way I am sometimes. I love your “new” room! It looks great. Congratulations on a job well done.

Suzanne, I did get the newsletter, and have enjoyed it immensely. What a fun read! I am sorry about the not-so-goods, and am wondering if you found your mixer.

You are right: Honey is a sweetie-pie. Please give him an ear scritch from me.

It is going to be warm today, and I am spending it outside cursing the moles and working in the gardens!

Princess Morgan – I love the room! Good job.

Honey – stop pestering Miss Jacob; your Mommy will be home soon. She’s just having a little, uh, vacation at the goat spa.

Miss Jacob – please let poor Honey love on you for now, or the Giant Puppy will have to step in!!!

Ack, ack, ack – I didn’t get a newsletter :hissyfit: I thought it was automatic :? I registered at your above link just now but I sure would like the first one

Loved the pics and of course the remarks that came with it.

catslady and I were thinking that the newsletter came automatically.
well, we were wrong. Not that it would be the first time for me.
Morgan, Good job on your room- a little change in the scenery- or early spring-cleaning.
Honey, don’t worry-mama will be home soon enough to scarf up on your cookie shares.
We can’t help but feel for Miss Jacob-patience with the lad..it will be alright.
Send in the Giant Puppy to the rescue..
maybe not, since we all remember how clingy Coco has been in the past.

That was precious! Miss Jacob is being such a tolerant ewe! She’s proving to be a very wonderful MAMA! Speaking of which, are your sheep ever going to have BAAA-bies? How is Annabelle? Is she with them or still on the porch? This is like a soap opera but SO much better because animals are so much more fun! hehe! Have a great day!

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
