It’s scenery like that, that made me want to get married in the Fall. In fact today is my 17th wedding anniversary! :bananadance: :love:
I still remember the day like it was yesterday. The leaves were at peak here in East Tennessee and the weather was probably one of the last warmish days we had with a breeze. The sky was the most gorgeous shade of blue that you only see in the Fall. We were married in my mother’s yard beneath a huge willow tree. On my wedding video, you can even hear the roosters crowing in the background.
Thanks Suzanne for posting such gorgeous pics of the sights of the season. You’ve inspired me! We can’t do anything today due to work, but next weekend, we’re heading for the Smokies and taking the kids. I want to see all this color before it’s gone and the cold really sets in.

Oh those photos are GORGEOUS. The leaves, the colors, sigh. Being in California, we don’t get a true Fall. So I’m a little jealous.

AS always, when it comes to scenery, West Virginia doesn’t let us down. The pictures are beautiful!I love the horses! Hop on over to my place and see what we did on Saturday. Again, as always, West Virginia doesn’t let us down.

We honeymooned at Black Water Falls in 1974! :love: Went back for our 30th anniversary and not a thing had changed. We loved it then and love it now. It’s such a beautiful place with wonderful memories for us. Thanks for sharing those pictures.

Wow – I have been on a fall vacation. Thanks for sharing this – I love those narrow roads in fall. The Blue Ridge Parkway up in NC is so unreal – you feel like you have died and gone to heaven. Where I am trees are still green, very little color, but it is 54 this am – thank goodness. I slept so much better last night too.

Love fall, the burst of those wonderful colors, the leaves falling to the ground, being crunched into the earth for winter.

Our trees on the Texas coast rarely change to Fall colors.
When we get a good “cold snap,” green leaves fall to the ground. We still have to rake leaves. Thank you for sharing your leaves and mountains with us. We can dream of being there.

Thank you for letting us see the beauty out there right now. We have hardly any trees here that change colors. When we drive into the local town that is when we see some that are changing. I don’t know why farmers don’t plant colorful trees around there houses around here. Blessings.

Wow! Did you take Coco with you so she could enjoy the scenery? Maybe offer a trip like that as a prize to Clover and Nutmeg if they produce milk next year? And bring the mini horse down here – I’d love to take a brush to his/her mane. And congratulations on your anniversary, Patty. :catmeow:

I was in the same area for a few days too this week, Suzanne, doing some storytelling, visiting family, etc. I could have spent full days just taking photos of so many beautiful sights. Your trip looks like it was breathtaking. The Falls are pretty low–no rain for some time in that area.

That is really a beautiful collection of Autumn scenery! And the pony is just perfect- what they call shaggy in Scotland. On a visit there I asked what kind of cows were in the pasture and the farmer looked me straight in the eye and said “Those would be shaggy cows”( only it sounded like coo’s with his accent!)

I love Blackwater Falls !!!

The view there is equally breathtaking .
