She is really beautiful – a wonderful addition to your family. You will be constantly amazed by her as she grows and matures. She will teach you a lot. Great choice! – Pyrs are a joy. Is she from the same breeder as your neighbors Pyr?

Oh my goodness, she is adorable. The puppy is too! I can’t wait til you’ve caught up on your sleep and can tell us all about her. of course everyone before me has claomed Great Pyrenees, which would only make sense, because you drooled over your neighbors GP. Congrats! I’m jealous!

Oh, so cute!! I love great pyrenese (sp?) We used to have one and he was the greatest dog with the farm animals. We had a baby rabbit fall out of it’s cage and the dog sat with the rabbit-nose to nose-until we got into the barn. I’m sold on em!!!
    God bless

She is a beautiful Great Pyreneese. The grow to be quite large, 85-100 lbs. Great guard dogs also. She deserves a royal name. She and Princess look good together. Have a great day and  to all.

I knew right away that she’s the same breed as the “goat herding” dog that you saw. I guess you & Princess had dog envy and had to get one of your own. I was wondering how you afford all the vet bills (even just to vacinate) all your cats & dogs.

I think she is a Great Pyrenees too. Both my sister and my husband’s brother had them to guard their farms. Great dogs to guard your future Nigerian goat herd. And she will probably keep predators away from that scary mini chicken. Wouldn’t want anything to happen to him.

I’m guessing a Great Pyreneese (sp?). Oh…but won’t those chickens LOVE her?! :whip:

Our beloved 10yo Sheltie, Hickory, died in January & after having had 2 Shelties we thougth we’d go a different route this time & got a solid black (except a spot on her chin and chest) Miniature Schnauzer, Magpie Maggie Mae. She’s a live wire! Fortunately…now that she’s 6 months old…she’s FINALLY (FINALLY!!) getting the hang of potty training!!! :snoopy: :elephant: :shimmy: :fryingpan: Can’t WAIT to hear YOUR stories!!

Congratulations on the Great Pyrenees. She’s beautiful and I’ll bet very lovable. When you get sheep they will not be afraid of her because she looks like them. She’ll be a great protector of all your animals and people! I am looking at a Great Pyr mix rescue right now. Maybe this is encouragement for me to step out and adopt.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
