Food Service Will Resume Shortly

Roof trusses are on!

There is no bread or milk in my house. Another sure sign that my book is due today.

I have fun photos and fun stories to share (including a PUPPY story) from the Black Walnut Festival this weekend. I gotta get some bread and milk–and then I can sort through pictures. Come back tomorrow? (The PUPPY alone is worth it!! And there are pigs and sheep and a Really Strange slice of cornbread….)

Winner from this weekend’s Free Book Friday–#17, Nathalie! Email me!

No wonder Princess was telling you to finish the book quickly. Maybe you should give her a :cowsleep: so she can always get her own mild.

Great pics of the house, Suzanne! Having recently gone through the building of a new house, I empathize with all the work that needs to be done, but also understand the excitement. Our house still looks like a construction zone. It’s coming along, though….very sloowwlly, but one of these days I’ll be able to sit back and enjoy it!

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
