“Look at me! I’m the queen!”
“I want to walk around the walls. Why can’t I walk around the walls? You are SO over-protective since that time I broke my arm! Oh, wait, never mind, there’s–”

You all are going to get tired of hearing about this house, aren’t you? :rotfl:
"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

"First it's glowing, then it's snowing! A pause, then screaming squalls and williwaws. Bright but bitter, then a thaw. Yet again it's cold and storming: What ever happened to global warming?"

I horrified our 10-year-old daughter yesterday.
She was in ballet, and I was sitting on the “Mom” bench. One of the dancers (adult class) in the next class came in early. I had never seen her before, but within 15 minutes, she volunteered her name, her cat’s name (Stinker, formally baptised by her boyfriend), her hobbies (anything art).
She thought kiddo was poised, bright, polite, a true joy to be around, and a few other compliments. Then she said she was looking forward to getting to know her.
My mom radar went off and I thought this crazy whacko was not getting to know my daughter.
Class ended, and the lady went to the barre and began stretching.
Kiddo: “Why were you talking to her?”
Me: “She talked. I listened. She seems to know you and thinks you two will get along and work together well and a few other odd things. Do YOU know her from somewhere”
Kiddo: “I told you we met our new teacher today.”
