Princess, on the latest in salad offerings…“Next time you buy lettuce, will you buy the Romanian kind?”

Conversation between Princess and 16’s Girlfriend…16’s Girlfriend: “Do you know much about 16?”
Princess: “I know a LOT about him.”
16 to Princess: “You can leave now.”

Conversation between 16’s Girlfriend and 16…16’s Girlfriend: “Your mother has really long hair. Is she a hippie?”
16: “I don’t know.”

14, pondering the contents of the refrigerator…
14: “We have no food. Isn’t your book done yet?”

No. No, it’s not. NO!!! :wall:

    ROTFL! Great conversational snippets.

I don’t think it would matter how well-stocked the fridge was, any teenager would still say there’s no food. Ha.

Good luck with your writing today. Lovely photo, BTW!

Mmmm… Salad the Impaler. Somehow, it doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Poor you on the book. LOL… Love the snippets tho. And POOR 16! Little sisters live to get back at the big brother’s who beat on them. He’d better watch out.

Suz is a hippie :  How cool is that. It sure beats what my son’s girlfriend asked him about me. I have always had really short hair and she asked if I was dyke. How gross is that  Lord love them, teenagers never change.Your kids could be my kids and they could be me. The house is looking good. Won’t be that much longer. I am sure all of you are getting excited. I am also sure Princess already has her room decorated in her mind. I see a lot of animal motif in there. Have a great day and  to all.

It sounds like Princess can blackmail 16!

Good luck with finishing your book quickly, for 14’s sake. :hungry:

Sorry Suzanne for the stress. Don’t worry about the book, it will get done. As for hungry boys, you know no matter how full the fridge and cabinets are, they can never find anything to eat. I have a younger brother, and he and my husband both are still like that. I’ll send you good vibes to help you relax and work in peace. :-). Hope you and everyone has a great day.

My favorite is the hippie line. I’m surprised they even know the word :rotfl:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

"Lamb-y, then whammy! Get some tickets to Miami! Snow is easing, but we're still freezing. It may be spring by the astronomer, but not by the thermometer. Mighty fine, then leonine."
