My Precious Darlings
It’s the first day of school!!!!
The Princess, hair glamorously brushed for her first day of middle school….
….14, getting on the bus for his first day of high school….
….and 16, driving off to school in his first very own car!
Yes, he’s finally driving again, people. Stay home and bar the doors!!
It’s a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. He petted it and hugged it and kissed it, and I cried and begged him to be careful and made him call me as soon as he got to school.
I’m a bit anxious. 
Me, I get my first day of uninterrupted writing time in what seems like forever!

I actually miss those first days of school.
It has been a long time since my two were in school. My grandsons started Thursday but are being allowed to miss today since their Dad got home from Iraq yesterday. 
They are spending time with him. Thanks for all the prayers said for his safety. They were really appreciated. 
You are a great group of people.
I am also excited that I won the Book. Thanks Suz and whoever drew the number this week. Have a great day and hugs to all.

Hours of quiet. No Hannah Montana, High School Musical (1 or 2), or antics of boys living in a hotel!
A quiet cup of coffee.
An old movie.
Housework can wait.

Congrats Fannie!!! Sometimes I miss getting ready for back to school. When else do you get to buy all new clothes every year.

My kids don’t start for another week, but it’s always bittersweet - I’m happy to get the peace and quiet (little though it is with our business, etc), and a bit sad at how fast the “first day of school” comes each year. Can’t they take a Stop Growing pill?
