My three little 4-H Mingo tribe warriors. I heard there was a lot of toilet paper and shaving cream involved in the 2 a.m. camp activities…..
14 is already off to football camp at West Virginia University. I told him to wash his clothes, pronto, to get ready for Camp #2. He did his laundry. With much prompting from me: “The washer is finished. Put that in the dryer. Put another load in the washer.” Etc. He has the attention span of a gnat for laundry. Finally got his laundry done. Time to leave for football camp! I tell him to bring his clean clothes downstairs so we can count out what he needs to pack and get his bag ready. He brings down t-shirts and athletic shorts. I say, “You need socks. Where are your socks?”
He has a 3.99 GPA.
Socks? What are these things called socks? He didn’t wash any socks…… :fryingpan:

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

"First it's glowing, then it's snowing! A pause, then screaming squalls and williwaws. Bright but bitter, then a thaw. Yet again it's cold and storming: What ever happened to global warming?"
