Free Book Friday: It DOES Come In Threes

My daughter, trying to convince me that she is IMITATING me. No, I don’t believe it, I never make that face…..

So, on Sunday, I got a flat tire. On Monday, a cute 16-year-old boy backed into my car at Wal-Mart parking lot. I stayed away, far away, from my car on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I dared go near it again. Guess what happened??

1) I let my 15-year-old drive and he ran into our mailbox.
2) I hit a deer.
3) My car blew up and I’m writing this from the hospital.
4) My car was stolen.
5) My muffler and tailpipe fell off.
:shimmy: One random comment number will be selected from the correct guessers to win their pick from my contemporary backlist! Okay, what do YOU think happened on Wednesday?

Since everyone else is guessing 5, I’ll guess #1. You wouldn’t want to drive, given the other things that happened and that maybe you were trying to avoid that 3rd happening by letting your 15 year old drive. :)

I should add only because dd is driving now and for the last six months I’ve closed my eyes while I’m in the car with her. :-)

    NUMBER 2

Since everyone seems to think it is #5, It will pick #2. For your sake I wish it were none of them after what has already happened.

Being you are in the country I say #2 – you hit a deer or a deer ran into you, lol. It’s not funny, I know. We have so many deer where I live.

I’m going with #1 and #5, the other three I can only hope didn’t happen

    I’m guessing #2, you hit a deer.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
