Eleven!

Is this any way to treat a princess on her birthday?

Life is rough with brothers. Good thing she has a week-long birthday celebration to make up for it. Last night, her pre-birthday present was the DVD of High School Musical, which we watched together. Tonight, it’s hamburgers and puppy dog cake, and more presents. She’s wearing her new “Call Me The Princess” t-shirt to school. As a special added birthday gift, school is running on a two-hour delay today due to snow.

Winner of this weekend’s Free Book Friday: #21, Jeanette! (Email me with your address and book pick!) Yes, the correct answer was….. She stayed at school and rode the bus home so as to not cut short her social time!

Now I’m off to bake puppy dog cake….. Come back tomorrow–I’ll post a pic!

Happy birthday to my baby!!!:snoopy:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
