What a great picture. I don’t have a view like that, just lots of pine trees. Of course, there is so much beautiful scenery here in the Smokies, just not in my field of vision. Congrats on the kitties. Tell her to keep her legs closed until you can get her fixed. Hugs to all.
It took me a while to find the barn, (I’ve still got sandman’s dust in my eyes). It certainly is a “wow” picture. I think you should enter some of your picures at http://www.picture.com. If nothing else, this one would make a wonderful puzzle.
Anybody else, other than me, like to do jigsaw-type puzzles, except that all the pieces have straigh edges? I do them there every day and you can win gift certificates for some of their great photos.
So that *is* honeysuckle? I thought it was pink or does it come in different colors. I read about so many flowers in books yet half the time I have no idea what the plant looks like. A lot of flowering plants that are common farther south need a longer summer growing period to survive. We found a big difference between Winnipeg, MB and here, London or Toronto, ON”
"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die."Keep reading
Rain descends like curtains closing a show: there's snow up north, but the south gets a hosing! Sunbeams on football teams; losers, winners shovel out, then shovel in turkey dinners!"

I wish th barn was a tad closer to you.
But it’s a great picture nonetheless! Love the honeysuckle (that IS honeysuckle, isn’t it?) in the foreground!

Congrats Mel.
Oh the kittens are soooo cute. I’m always amazed at the variety in one litter.
Too bad you don’t live closer, Carol. You need a new little one in the house
(I’m still on yesterday’s post guys.)
Great picture. I love the smell on honeysuckle. My parent’s used to have tons of it.

I miss the smell of honeysuckle. I do smell it though when I visit my Mom in FL.
