If you go 99 miles north on I-79 out of Charleston toward West Virginia University in Morgantown, you pass by the city of Weston, West Virginia. I could NOT pass up this fabulous mothering opportunity to take a photo of my son Weston in front of the road sign for Weston.
He was absolutely thrilled to seize this chance to have his picture taken on the shoulder of an interstate.
You can see how thrilled he is, can’t you?
He kept saying, take more, please take more photos. I don’t want this to ever end, this is the Most Fun Ever!
Okay, maybe he was saying something more like, MAKE IT STOP, PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP……
Just wait till I get a chance to take Morgan to Morgantown!!!!!!!

FOOTBALL CAMP AT WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!!!!!
My 13-year-old son went to the Rich Rodriguez Football Camp at WVU in Morgan-town this week. He played in the stadium! Planned plays with college coaches! Slept in a dorm room! Ordered two pizzas every night! Got a nickname–Monster! Made a new friend whose nickname was Horsechild! He must have had a good time because he didn’t want it to be over and he can’t wait to go back next year. He’s playing football in school this fall and he is PUMPED up about it. He was particularly excited about getting his football autographed by WVU Mountaineers, including quarterback Pat White and tailback Steve Slaton, as well as head coach Rich Rodriguez. Below, he is having his photograph taken with our close personal friend Rich Rodriguez (in the white shirt, left) during football camp registration. Okay, Rodriguez was being interviewed and I made Weston stand in front of him while I took a picture…….. We’re close, though, really close!!!!

Well, that’s our camping for the summer, 4-H camp and football camp. The kids are camped out now! I never went to camp when I was a kid except for church camp. Church of Christ church camp. That was exciting, let me tell you….. Okay, no it wasn’t and there is nothing to tell. Did you go to summer camp when you were a kid? Tell me about your childhood summer camp, or if you didn’t go, or what kinds of camps your kids are going to this summer–and one random comment number will be chosen for their autographed pick from my contemporary backlist!
