Yay, I found the booksigning info. If anyone happens to be in the Raleigh, North Carolina area–I’ll be autographing The Beast Within at a “Booksigning/Author Chat” at the Barnes and Noble on 8431 Brier Creek Parkway in Raleigh from 10 am to noon today with Virginia Kantra, Sabrina Jeffries, Cynthia Cooke, Cindy Holby, and Emilie Rose. I mostly find booksignings semi-painful because I get asked more often where the bathroom is than I get asked to sign a book, but this one should be fun!
And, another sigh of relief. Had to take Buttercup back to the vet this week for a test I can’t spell or pronounce but it was to determine whether or not he had diabetes. His glucose had been high in several tests, and this was to be the final test to settle it. The vet had told me that, in cats, stress can cause glucose levels to be abnormally high during vet visits. Hello? They have to call in two assistants and put a muzzle on him to give him a shot. I THINK HE FINDS THE VET’S OFFICE STRESSFUL. But, to be sure, I went ahead with the test. The vet called last night to let me know that it was negative. My Butterbooboo does NOT have diabetes! HE’S JUST MENTALLY UNSTABLE!
Tonight, I get to go to a party!!! I never go to parties! Harlequin Intrigue author Cynthia is having a big bash at her house tonight. I hear there will be margarita machines and naked cover models! Okay, just margarita machines. (Sorry about that naked cover models tease–man, I’m going to get some Google search hits outta that one!) Want me to bring back pictures anyway?:rotfl:

:relieved: Extremely glad kitty doesn’t have diabetes. Don’t you wish they could tell you if they’re sick and what the symptoms are? Love the surreal picture.

Sigrun, Buttercup was named after a female character on the “Powerpuff Girls” cartoon show, so he has long ago given up on his masculinity, LOL!
And I just wanted to say–I always write confirmation emails to let everyone know that I got their address and that their book etc is on the way. Between the booksigning this morning and the party this evening, I was home only briefly this afternoon so I haven’t been able to get to my email, but I =will= get to it first thing tomorrow. I apologize for the delay!! I actually left the house for once, LOL. (And I got a new outfit. It was fun!!)
