Love Scene Word Association

Yesterday’s winners: Everyone! If you asked for an autographed copy of Never Say Goodbye yesterday, you got it! And they all went out with my brand new fun PAX League fridge magnets. Today, a PAX mug is up for grabs! But first….

As mentioned on Monday, for those of you with your own blogs, if you read The Beast Within and I catch you talking about it on your blog, I’ll highlight your blog here and send you your pick from my backlist! Today’s catch: Nicole, who has a great reader blog called Blog Happy! “If you’re looking for a quick, fun, and quite sexy paranormal read, I suggest you head to the bookstore and pick up The Beast Within by Suzanne McMinn. It was definitely a great way to spend my evening. Of course, now I want the next one. NOW.” Read Nicole’s entire discussion of The Beast Within here. (And Nicole–email me with your pick from my backlist!)

(A couple quick notes to answer some questions… One, unless otherwise specified my contests are always open to non-U.S. as well as U.S. residents. And two, play as often as you like! Winning does not preclude you from playing again!)

Now, for today’s game! Let’s play Love Scene Word Association! First–put your head in the right place–in a romance novel love scene! Now, how to play–I’ll start with one word, and you say the VERY next word that pops into your head. And so on. The only rule–try to keep your mind in the gutter! LOL. I’ve asked my twelve-year-old son to write down a number between 1 and 100 on a piece of paper. The paper is folded and sealed in an envelope. (Involvement in choosing winners is far too painful for me!) The comment number that matches that number wins the PAX mug! Of course, you can keep playing after 100 comments if you’re having fun. I encourage that sort of thing. The envelope will be opened and the winner announced in tomorrow’s blog. Oh–and as usual, play as often as you like in today’s contest, but not twice in a row.

I’ll start.

Hot.

Sorry, I’m so late. I was out all afternoon yesterday at a birthday party and doing shopping. Yes, Suzanne, your book is here, too. I always sleep a lot afterwards especially if I walk home. I slept past midnight yeaterday and until 7 p.m today (went to bed about 8:00 this morning.)

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
