win a PAX mug!

Guess how many manuscript pages my last book was (PAX 2) when I turned it in and win a PAX mug from my shop ! You may guess a maximum of two times! As soon as I see someone guess the correct answer, I’ll announce the winner! So till then, guess away!

Hint: it was more than 250 and less than 350. :)

pink, pretty, sparkly….and piggy

Just in case anyone is INSANE and thinks my daughter is actually neat, here’s a picture of her room in its natural state.

messyroom (15k image)

She likes to Swiffer. Too bad she can’t Swiffer her room! She may be pink, pretty and sparkly but she’s a pig! Ironically, her bedroom is one of the few rooms in the house that has been painted and fully decorated since we moved in here. And it’s a wreck all the time! I used to help her clean it, but I’m in rebellion mode on that lately. What room in your house is out of control? Any tips?

And in case you missed this yesterday….. Sasha White is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her website with contests, chats, and other special events including the launch of a series of interviews on her site. I was lucky enough to be invited to be her first interviewee, so if you’d like to check it out, read the interview here ! :D

I think I’ll give away a PAX mug later today…….. Stick around! :hehe:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
